    Oops, key to THE city.

  2. husky82 says:

Curiouser 135, here is the link to KKK in Washington State Historical Documents. Personally, I wouldn’t be too surprised to find a direct connection between Beck, and the unsavory past of Whatcom and Skagit Counties.
    http://tinyurl.com/qar38d

On a lighter note, the Mayor of Bellingham is offering a key to city to Jon Stewart in response to Mt. Vernon’s mayor’s plans to give one to Beck. Here is the link to the facebook fan page to join this cause: http://tinyurl.com/p2q78j

    Hannah-
Thanks for the web site——It all makes sense now.
WHEW!!!!!! How do we fight these people? They are being brain-washed.

  4. Elizabeth says:

Whatcom county is generally very liberal, especially Bellingham, county seat and home of Western Washington University. However, we definitely have extremely conservative pockets, so I’m not surprised about the KKK in earlier times. I’m not aware of any KKK around now. Mt. Vernon is the county seat of Skagit county. Both counties are rural and have a lot of relatively small farms. Beck’s soon to happen appearance in Mt. Vernon, is very controversial.

  5. curiouser says:

husky82 – do you have a link? I know there was/is the Jehovah’s Witnesses publication ‘The Watch Tower’ but can’t find anything related to the KKK.

  6. husky82 says:

This just reportered in the Seattle PI: “Seattle Synagogues Defaced with Swastikas”. http://tinyurl.com/majygj

Yesterday I was discussing Glen Beck with my mother who mentioned that my grandfather (a jew) grew up terrified of the KKK in his native Whatcom County, and also Mt. Vernon where the Beckster is from. I got curious and decided to look at some historical Klan documents that are available online. The teabaggers and Glen Beck’s rhetoric is straight from “The Watch Tower”, newspaper of the Klan circa 1920s. Very scary!

  7. sauerkraut says:

yanno… perhaps the woman holding the sign is trying to send a different message to a selected audience… take the misspelled word “infromed” and think about what the sign would say if “in” is removed…

and take a little poetic license…

“thank you fox news for keeping us from meds”

at least the sign holder isn’t asking her dog to “bless” america. …

  8. Enjay in E.MT. says:

I think every insurance company should list how much of their customer premiums has been spent in the last 12 months on Lobbyists. Month by Month breakdown.

oops meant to say “get over their shock that there are even THIS MANY undereducated..”

  11. Martha Unalaska Yard Sign says:

    @ polarbear 119

I am with you 100%! Maybe that’ll happen when sane folk get over their shock that there are even these undereducated, fearful, and desperate fanatics – and that they are NOT busy trying to hide their stupid. Instead they are flaunting it. It just boggles the mind, but we have to move on. Like Tina Fey.

  12. Aussie Blue Sky says:

Burberry’s crisis even warranted its own documentary! 😀

For a top fashion brand it’s the ultimate nightmare – when all the wrong sort of people start wearing your brand. Burberry is the epitome of high fashion but now its distinctive beige tartans have become popular with so-called chavs. The worst moment – the appearance in the tabloids of an ex TV star covered from head to toe in Burberry check. And now Burberry is also having to take on counterfeiters who are ripping off their designs and making cheap copies available on marker stalls. We follow Burberry’s fight back.

In my defence, I tried to talk my (young, American) friend out of the beige one. I figure if you have one in the latest colour it would give the impression that you’re hip and you have money (and that’s what it’s all about). And I know that British ladies “of a certain age” are very, very fond of the beige. I lost the argument. My friend now proudly dresses as a middle-aged Brit.

Our country is undergoing a cultural change as well as political, and the far-right Republican evangelical extremists are being left behind. They know they are being left behind, and the sudden loss of power and influence has left them upset and without direction. At best, these wackos make up about 20% or less of voters nationwide. As soon as moderate Americans learn that these wacko extremists can be ignored, the sooner the press will learn they can be ignored, and the sooner our public discourse will return to civility.

  22. Seagull Junker Palin says:

Weaver – so funny, I KNEW she was wearing Burberry during the turkey massacre!!

    Left over from the campaign.

  23. weaver57 says:

OK – this is really OT, but, in the current New Yorker Magazine is an article about the Burberry Co, and their check, not plaid. But this was included: “Presiding over the now infamous slaughter of Thanksgiving turkeys, Sarah Palin wore what appeared to be the company’s cashmere muffler. A commenter, having watched the video online, wrote, ‘It’s very thoughtful of Sarah that her Burberry scarf matches the bucket of blood in the background’.”

    Basically,
When is the date of show . how long do you have for reading info ?

What’s your take on the subject, so far?
    ——-
Don’t have a date yet. The show does all kinds of topics from adopt a pet of the week to politics. I called in response to a local school board member who was trying to block the education speech. The host had one of his favorite conservatives in who was scratching his head trying to figure out why a “conservative” would want to stop the President.

I basically talked about how this seemed to me like some theocrats had gotten themselves on the school board. I told about how the fundies had taken over school boards and the GOP in Texas.

Ugh, the system just ate some of my post.

I’m thinking that one of the main reasons fundie leadership hates BO is because he has an ecumenical view of faith that welcomes all religion. That is not OK with those who consider only the baptized OK and all other evil. I probably would also talk about how all politics is about collation building but the collation between the fiscal conservative and the cultural conservative is now in major clash mode.

All of the Republican I know are pro choice so having the fundies take over is a major problem for them. The cultural issues are driving the traditional republican nuts. I think we are going to see a lot more Blue Dogs in the Dem tent. But for right now I think we can get the popcorn ready for the faction fight of all faction fights among the rethugs. Xtain warriors vs the fiscal hawks, if they have not become extinct.

Buffalogal… we must have been thinking the same thing this morning. I woke up and thought about all those protesters. I asked… why are they protesting something that will benefit them. If only someone would SHOW them exactly in financial terms that the Insurance companies are not their friend because their protest seems to be ‘ don’t go after my Insurance company’. But then you remind yourself that it is NOT about Insurance and health care. We know what it is. Therefore giving them Facts in dollars and cents mean nothing. Nothing will change them anyway. Us or the WH are wasting our breath talking to protesters. Move on.

The only people we can affect are the rational ones where the story of the Money trail makes sense. The story has to be that the Insurance company, the way it is , is NOT your friend. They don’t care about you….their CEO’s compensation is gross and Vulgar. Insurance Executives and Wall Street Executives are one and the same…. No difference. Who protesting these reforms would stand up and say Wall Street Execs deserve that pay. No one.

If the President or a Politician were to hold a Press conference and just stand there and show a chart with all the Insurance CEO’s name and what they paid last year, no one would defend them. People would be outraged and it would be a slam dunk. However, every one of those Execs would be donating a million dollars the next day to some Lobbyist Firm to produce a commercial slamming that Politician, smearing them and applying pressure because this is their Golden Goose.
Wouldn’t this chart send the message home and work if MoveOn or Media Matters were to run the ads though because the Insurance Giants have no way to influence or sway them. They couldn’t deny that that was what they were paid. What defense could they have. Who would be sympathetic.
A simple chart, the CEO, the Insurance Co. he works for and how much he was paid. Show the commercial over and over… same thing… same message. Who would be on the side of the guy who earns $250K or $450 K per WEEK..?

Would a Show like Keith O. or Rachel even be able to do a story about it..?
I am sure the Network they are on gets a lot of money for running Insurance advertising. Even a major Network might not allow their News Anchors to go after Advertisers… and risk losing the revenue $$$$$.
Are the Nat’l blogs the only Media that could tell the Story and would not be affected by the dollars and influence/ pressure from Insurance Co’s.
And even if the Blog told the Truth/Story… would MSM report it?

  35. PepperzMom (GA) says:

Forgot to add this parting shot from the above article to the *snipped* excerpts:

…the wretched two-term record compiled by the younger Bush on income, poverty and access to health care should compel Republicans to answer a straightforward question: if tax cuts are truly the best means to stimulate broadly shared prosperity, why did the Bush years yield such disastrous results for American families on these core measures of economic well being?

Yup, answer those ??’s Rethugs…c’mon, the normal & sane folks won’t hurt you (much) when you (try to) answer the question…

  36. PepperzMom (GA) says:

Interesting factualfindings of economic life under Bush v Clinton. Excerpts below the link…

    http://politics.theatlantic.com/2009/09/closing_the_book_on_the_bush_legacy.php

    *snip*
So the summary page on the economic experience of average Americans under the past two presidents would look like this:
Under Clinton, the median income increased 14 per cent. Under Bush it declined 4.2 per cent.

Under Clinton the total number of Americans in poverty declined 16.9 per cent; under Bush it increased 26.1 per cent.

Under Clinton the number of children in poverty declined 24.2 per cent; under Bush it increased by 21.4 per cent.

Under Clinton, the number of Americans without health insurance, remained essentially even (down six-tenths of one per cent); under Bush it increased by 20.6 per cent.

Gee, Rethugs and tax reductions really work great for you and me, don’t they?

And I might add: as a (liberal) Christian it pains me to see people using the Lord’s name in vain – and that’s what the fundies are doing – by their actions and their words. Hate is not a Christian word. Thank you, Frank Schaeffer, for denouncing that which you fueled and for informing the rest of us. Mr. Schaeffer has been on Rachel Maddow’s show a couple of times, very interesting to listen to. He’s passionate about undoing what he and his father started. I can’t imagine living in the dark and fearful world these people have put themselves in. It really is a cult, only much worse, as Mr. Schaeffer explains.

Traditional conservatives (fiscal hawks) need to understand how the current GOP is little concerned with economics and totally consumed by their culture issues. And that their answer to the culture issues is to incorporate biblical law into our civil law.

AS THAT BECOMES MORE DEVELOPED, MORE ENLIGHTENED, AS NEW DISCOVERIES ARE MADE, NEW TRUTHS DISCLOSED, AND MANNERS AND OPINIONS CHANGE WITH THE CHANGE OF CIRCUMSTANCES, INSTITUTIONS MUST ADVANCE ALSO, AND KEEP PACE WITH THE TIMES. 53. mxm says:

Sorry, sent this comment into moderation because I violated rules. With some editing, I offer my comments again.

Just posted this crazy theory over at IM, will also share my speculation here:

Is it possible that a really crazy scenario occurred: SP and BP were pregnant at the same time. BP went into seclusion with that bad case of mono, dropped out of school and continued to see Levi, delivered her baby and allowed (under protest) her baby to to be adopted by another family. BP is depressed and finds her only comfort in Levi. Out of concern for her maintaining her silence about the adoption and to force her to comply with the legal sign off, Levi is allowed to move into the house with Bristol, to keep her content.

SP, who has been hiding her pregnancy due to NPD and pregorexia, delivers her baby quite prematurely, very small and with typical DS medical complications. She essentially abandons him to an NICU for several months. Few people know about this, her children do not, her parents and sister do not know, perhaps Todd does not even know.

Now speculating that an adoption can not be arranged for T*1 due to his condition or he was not expected to survive but he does, now SP struggles with what to do? So, she announces her pregnancy, but has already delivered, so she has to fake the pregnancy. The wild ride coincides with T*1’s discharge from the hospital.

Bristol is angry, depressed as she was forced to give her 1st baby up, so she and Levi create a replacement baby. Thus, there are 2 T*2s — the adopted baby that in their hearts was named T*2 and the second baby that they will raise. It is the second baby that SP tries to adopt for political expediency.

Because BP and Levi are close, capable of genuine emotion and still mourning the loss of the adopted baby, they naturally bond with T*1, love him and nurture the infant. This is seen in the photos in the kitchen, and the tenderness on the campaign trail. Who can or needs to make sense of what a teenager (Mercedes) posted as photo tags on a Facebook site.

Crazy, but there are many crazy theories out there. Such a scenario would lead to “sources” swearing SP was never pregnant — or that she was, because really, only a very few know the crazy truth that she “was” and she “wasn’t”. In this crazy scenario, there are 3 babies – 2 mothers, God only knows how many fathers (and does it really matter). Would explain a lot, including Todd’s relationship with Sarah — after all, how much can one man tolerate. This would also explain why SP never bonded with T*1. I do concur with another commenter along the way that Piper and T*1 have a striking resemblence.

    _____

    additional thoughts

A three baby scenario answers many of the questions that Levi’s comments in VF have raised, the photos, the attempts at defining timelines for pregnancies, infant birthdates, etc. If there were 3 babies, the pieces come together well. Without hesitation I can say this is a tremendously dysfunctional family, lies abound, trusts broken – so many victims. Very, very sad regardless of what the truth really is, and we may never know.

Nah, Ziggy, the sign’s for real. The capital-cursive F’s at the beginning of words, versus the printed capital F in the middle, the reversed letters, the lowercase i – this confusion is all too typical of something either a child or poorly educated adult would write.

Reversed or missing letters are a common signage mistake perpetrated by amateurs, because of attention span lapse during the process of actually writing out the letters. Ask any sign painter.

    { IF anybody is STILL watching CNN}

Huffpo posted this story where John King was interviewing Robert Gibbs. He is asked about $arah ‘ thoughts ‘ after just being asked about Joe Wilson and the screaming out of ‘ Lie’.

“After playing a tape of Obama saying death panels are “a lie, plain and simple,” King asked, “Does the president believe that Sarah Palin is a liar?”

“Despite many media outlets saying that what former Governor Palin was saying wasn’t true, she continued to say it,” Gibbs responded. “I’ll let Webster define what one calls her. I think in the absence of fact… sometimes what happens is we fill the void with stuff that quite frankly isn’t true.” He said Obama helped fill that void in his speech Wednesday night.”

Still need to do a graphic banner to replace the text banner that’s up there now. Also, there still lots and LOTS of content that needs to go in but at least it’s underway. Need to find at least one advertiser to make it worth the time being put in. I’m fantasizing about getting Ashley Judd’s foundation to run an ad. I might just try it !

Also , if you’re on twitter, you’ll find me at PalinTruthWatch on Twitter dot com

Samper – http://www.blogger.com is fairly easy to use and will rescale your photos ( as long as their not too gigantic.

Another is http://www.flickr.com but I’ve never used that so not sure how easy it is.

  63. zyxomma says:

Soldatna Sue @ #2 & those who answered her: The sign did NOT say health care should be buried with Teddy — it said, “Bury Obamacare with Kennedy.” Of course, for the Beck-Rush-Hannity-Addison Graves (a/k/a Joe) Wilson, $P “inspired” low-information, racist haters out there, the message is clear: bury Obama. Having heard from legislators on the other side of the aisle (I won’t call them conservatives, because clearly, conservatism as it existed until it was highjacked by the X-tian right is no more), their goal is not a bipartisan bill, but a DEAD bill to reform health insurance/care. Forget them. While we have the majority with which to do it, we should pass bills without them. If the bills suck, and people don’t like them, they can vote them back in next cycle. {{done ranting.}} Health and peace.

    Oh, teri!

You have missed quite the drama on my trip to Greece! I think I PM’d you a snippet.

I’ve got the photos downloaded and am trying to find a free blog that I can create just for the photos and story.

Where do we go to do that?

  65. Irishgirl says:

GA, I am wondering the same. No one could be that stupid.

  66. Irishgirl says:

    From Buffalogal’s link..

“Perhaps a slight bit of context is in order, however: it has struck me that Aetna’s Ronald Williams received $24,300,112 last year. That’s $467,309.85 per week. That’s a house. Maybe not a house that Mr. Williams would live in, but a house nonetheless. The man makes a house a week.”

For those who believe our public schools are good enough, the current healthcare debate points out how little our teachers teach our kids to think. Yet those same teachers push the concept of critical thought. But it is the lack of thought which is so critical to the current debate.

I didn’t see that America was spelt wrong for a while either. It was only when I enlarged it that I spotted it. I blame my eyesight!

All in all, I think there are 5 mistakes in that poster. America and informed, two backward F’s and an i that should have been capitalized.

I am not really in a position to judge…in my haste to be the first to answer, I spelled *it* wrong!!

Thanks AKM for sweeping that under the carpet. I was mortified. 🙂

  73. samper says:

Buffgal: Those are embarrassing sums and the recipients should be ashamed of themselves when folks are going without needed medications because of the COST. Gee… I wonder why drugs here are so expensive?

I bought some inhalers in Greece for literally 1/10 of the cost here, WITHOUT a doctor’s visit OR Rx. Stocked up! It’s so easy and cheap there!

It was almost nice only seeing the news in Greek last week… This kind of crap would have had me fuming even more than I was over my own little banking crisis!

The man makes a house a week. And interestingly enough, if Mr. Williams were to eschew the purchase of a house on any given week and instead look to deposit the money in a bank– in order to remain FDIC insured (up to $250,000)– he would actually need to open more than one account–every week. Lest we lament the fate of the other CEOs on the list, in 2008 Ms. Braly had to get by on $189,311.76 per week, and Mr. Hemsley had to somehow manage on $62,327.73 per week (but perhaps he was able to save a little from last year when he made $253,164.02 per week).<<

  75. honestyinGov says:

I saw this sign yesterday as well as many of the other ones. When I saw it for the first time I said,I wished they had taken a second photo showing WHO was holding the sign. I just saw this comment on someones Photo page.
    ——————————++++
“I’d like the big daily papers to splash her image – and others of her ilk – on their front pages, and include her name and place of origin. In other words, expose, embarrass and shame the living sh** out of these morons.”
    —————————-
Now I don’t know about posting the name, but what is wrong with saying Picture taken in ” name of town or the location of protest”
They are protesting in a Public place and want attention. Give it to them. Let their neighbors know who these people are so they can be forewarned or let it be known that they are racist bigots. Make sure the person’s face accompanies the photo. Expose them for exactly who they are. A picture says a 1000 words.People will make their own judgement about them….it’s all out there in the open… ALL over the internet…forever!
Just like we found out during the past election… some people seem to be PROUD of what they don’t know. Let’s help them out with that wish. If you take a picture… make sure the face is showing.

You know, the saddest thing is that these folks are being used as just another red herring to perpetuate the status quo.

Trisha, in that sign, upper left hand corner, in red, America is spelled Amercia.

  77. BuffaloGal says:

Trisha @60 – the sign that AKM posted at the top of this thread. If you look up in the right corner, they spelled, Amercia – I didn’t notice it until Ripley pointed it out either!

  78. ds55 says:

Sorry. There were a lot of links above and I couldn’t find it.

45 GreatGranny I’ve been trying to figure our were some of the crazier talking points have come from. I think a lot of this is coming from many fundie xtain churches that hate Obama. It seems to me that the Religious Right has taken control of the GOP and are now the GOP is about nothing morethan pushing xtain agenda towards theocracy. They want to eventually replace our laws with those of their version and interputation of a holy book.

I found this letter sent our just before the election by James Dobson of Focus on the Family. http://www.wnd.com/files/Focusletter.pdf It’s the whole list of crazy talking points.

In reading some of the sites about this letter it’s interesting that it’s purpose was to dissuade younger evangelicals from voting for Obama.

In order to keep the flock in line they feed fear to their followers.

I’m thinking the best way to handle fear is to do what you do with a scared kid. Let them talk, and via conversation guide them to a place of less fear.

Other ideas on how to dispel fear?

  85. trisha says:

greatgranny, I admire your restraint. I have Evangelical family members and it takes everything within me to not get into it with them. During the election, an Evangelical sister was trying to “save” me because she felt that it was the “end times” and President Obama was the antiChrist.

Wow. I let loose, but now we don’t discuss politics or religion.

What’s also scary, I have a relative (through marriage) who is an educated, intelligent person. She moved to Montana a few years ago, and last time I talked to her, she was discussing the problem with President Obama’s birth certificate. I couldn’t believe my ears. But, she told me all her neighbors were “filling her in” on the details regarding Obama’s “missing” birth certificate. OMG, I was shocked. She used to be a democrat and now she buying into this garbage because she is surrounded by birthers! This is a women who has travelled the world and lived overseas for a decade. She is not some uneducated wingnut. It’s a mob mentality. I gave her an earful.

I told her that yes, I fear what they do and say because the Republican money machine put us through 8 years of hell, debt, loss of lives and limb, international support, made our nation a nation of invaders and warmongers and above all, liars. She had a fit and still supports the Bush Administration. As an intelligent, educated person, I am in amazement that true Republicans still think that way. We agreed not to agree and never talk about politics again. We still love each other but don’t agree on this one issue between us.

There are many people who have learning disabilities. I am a person with learning disabilities, as are both my children. I suggest checking out Samuel L. Blumenfeld’s book, N.E.A. Trojan Horse in American Education. I went looking and found the following from the first one I clicked:

“Samuel L. Blumenfeld has spent the last 30 years writing about American education and seeking answers to such baffling questions as: Why is America experiencing a decline in literacy? Why are so many American children afflicted with learning disabilities? Why are the schools pushing sex ed, drug ed, and Ritalin, but are dead-set against intensive phonics and rote memorization of arithmetic facts?”

    http://www.howtotutor.com/sam-bks.htm

That describes the education I received, no phonics or rote memorization of arithmetic facts. And I entered school in the 50s.

Dumb down the American workforce so they will not question the corporate boss in an effort to do away with organized labor. That is what we are seeing today. Folks are not questioning the corporate propaganda; indeed, they are reacting to the fear mongering while using talking points to hate their neighbors.

  95. GreatGranny2B says:

I could only look at a few of the Wonkette pictures before I started feeling physically and emotionally ill. Having been a young adult during the civil rights marches, Viet Nam protests, Kent State, etc., I somehow thought our citizens would have learned a lesson or two….. unfortunately they did – but not the kind I hoped. They’ve learned to hate and believe that their ways and beliefs are the only ones, and justify their behavior as Jesus wanting them to drive Satan (Obama) out, and install a theocratic government in place of true democracy. Where are we heading and how do we stop it?? Until the likes of Murdoch and Fox et al are squashed, we can expect more of the same, and probably more violence than we have seen so far.

I’m quite disappointed that I’ve seen NOTHING on MSM yet about the peaceful pro-healthcare rallying going on in D.C. today. Has anyone else seen anything?

Hate mongers want to destroy all that is good and live with all that is bad. I say let them get together and destroy themselves and leave the rest of us alone. What a bunch of loosers.

  100. Village Reader says:

@ Ryan – I don’t agree with your second paragraph. Feeling outrage is one thing but writing about violence (even if you don’t physically believe it) is another.

There are always weak minded people ready to take up arms and follow someone’s advice, ill-timed comments, responses blown from anger. It’s best not to give them ideas or a way to strike back at this site.

    – The sign does say it all. I wonder how long it stayed up before ANYONE from that side noticed or corrected it? If at all.

  101. sandra in oregon says:

One oof my favorite comments was one that commended SP for getting on the “banwagon.”

  102. Wow. First of all, that sign would be funny if it had been written by a six year old. It’s normal for them to have reversed letters and misspelled words. But the backwards “F” and the “infromed” are proof that some of these people didn’t spend enough time in that socialist public school they hate.

Although, maybe we should ask if there’s a deeper meaning – keeping them in-fromed? From what? Common sense, education, health care, social justice? I’m glad they’re happy that we are being kept “from” those things, but I am not.

The other thing I keep hearing from the right lately is that the left keeps trying to say that they are racist because they don’t like – hate- Obama. Well, they prove it every time we see those signs that blatantly show their racism. It can be nothing else. I don’t know if they think the rest of the Americans are as stupid as they are or if they hope that if they keep yelling loudly enough we’ll be quiet.

They are incredible and getting scarier all the time. The quote from the guy about the Bible – knowing them by their fruits and judging. Yes, we DO know the nutty right by their fruits, but the man missed the part that says only the Lord can judge. That is not something the rest of us are to do. Someone should tell him to go back and read the Bible again, but he’s probably too illiterate to do it on his own and is just relying on what someone else told him to think.

  103. Gardenslug says:

Just now I was looking on the net for the Homeland Security report from April and I ended up on Michelle Malkin’s blog. The headline was “Update: How many?; Freedomworks in error”, so I quickly scrolled down the page looking for the fake photograph (it wasn’t there) and saw this in the comments:

@ in exile – public schools were attacked in the 1950-60’s because of desegregation. Homeschooling & church schools were pushed as the alternative and became increasingly popular. Then the “religious” right continued the push from the 1970’s on. Those church schools sure want our “socialist” tax dollars though. Thus the continuing efforts to legislate for private school vouchers.

Several related thoughts, but it’s too early for me to construct a coherent paragraph so I’ll just list them:
~ I’m upset that NBC was reporting this march on D.C. as a ‘grassroots’ movement. It’s not!
~I have special disgust for Dick Armey for building this FreedomWorks organization. And who is bankrolling it? Murdoch??? Is there money there from the health insurance companies???
~They accuse the president of lying, but they are growing their organization on lies. Glenn Beck, who is a kind of leader (more a ‘whipper-upper’ of base emotions) has made an art of sounding reasonable but when his statements are analyzed they are filled with false statements.
~The media is passing on those lies. One example: From the stage at yesterday’s rally, they said ABC was reporting a turnout of 1.5 million. Someone finally went back over the transcripts – no such report had been made. But by then, the lie had been retweeted thousands of times.
~ There are a lot people in these demonstrations, and in the group who were speaking out about the education speech, who believe public education is unconstitutional and that public education is a socialist takeover. And once they finish with education, they connect every anti-Obama talking point into a nonstop rant. Here is a quote from someone who wrote on a friend’s Facebook page: …public schools ARE unconstitutional! They are a socialist institution funded by tax-payers. No one, but parents should be required to pay for their children’s educations! And the Bible also says that we will know them by their fruit. Just as I can “judge” if a peach is ripe or not; so also I judge that when a man is pro-murder (saying that babies who survive botched abortions should just be left to die), who wants tax-payers to be responsible for various privileges like education, health care / insurance, even food and housing for some who won’t work or fall behind on mortgage payments they shouldn’t have been able to get in the first place, and providing “rights” to millions of illegal aliens, then I can “judge” that he is not a good man!! It matters not what party someone belongs to, the ONLY standard by which to base an opinion is the Word of God. With your mind-set, I guess you’d say Hitler can’t be “judged” as evil….”

God help us, and please support your local teachers.
