I don’t get it?….sounds like a regular evening down here in Moose Pass except it’s apparent that they allow Jews (moi) but NOT Moose

  3. WakeUpAmerica says:

I’m wondering how the moose scored. The only other moose at the party was bisexual and obviously taken.

  4. A Fan From Chicago says:

I put this up last night but I want to do it one more time because it was late and maybe people skipped over it.

A great friend of mine went to Haiti with a group of amazing women last week to help out another group of amazing women get back on their feet. Some of them had actually lost their feet in the earthquake.

After a week of Sarah Palin’s coarse, racist, ill manered writings , and her daughters Facebook rants and DWTS grifting, I wanted to share a beautiful look at what real women look like.

It puts things in perspective. Enjoy.

Open question on Sarah’s recent slamming of Levi..

I thought the court order on custody and visitation of Tripp included a ban on family members publicly criticizing either parent. Did I dream that up? Certainly Sarah has flagrantly violated it if there was such language…??

    • TX SMR says:

Yes, that is standard in a custody case. Both she and bristol have certainly violated that provision. It would be up to Levi to file a motion in court to address the situation. Rex is probably getting ready to do that or in the process, but I said a long time ago that Levi needed (needs!) a custody lawyer, not Rex, to handle this properly. Rex has been a big fat zero for Levi in regard to custody issues. Bad very bad call on Levi’s part (one of many, of course).

    Moose Pucky’s ears are burning.

Forgot to ask — can any of you Alaskans tell me how Miller’s decision to sue is being viewed? I, for one, would not mind seeing this tied up in the courts for a very, very long time. Alaska can make do with her one Democratic senator, and the U.S. Senate can make do with one less Republican. Alaskans must be used to politically making-do, since they are the home of the biggest political quitter. Lisa M. can ‘serve her country in other ways’ just like Sarah!

    • Bretta says:

My understanding is unless Milliar can show irreparable harm by DOE certifying the election, no judge will direct the DOE to not certify.

The comments section of the newspaper article yesterday evening were running at least 9:1 in favor of drop-kicking him & suit into the ocean. Most thought this action proves him to be delusional and unstable.

There are good reasons for the voting system to be reviewed and improved. I don’t imagine the Koch Brothers are going to bankroll the suit because the returns to them are rapidly diminishing.

I do imagine that the financial benefits to Milliar are excellent, since he could continue to milk his campaign donations, seeing that he is not very employable otherwise in the aftermath of disclosures about his failure of character, and all.

He set up a recount fund. Idiots deposit their dollars there. I’m sure many names match the idiots who put dollars in the Twit Forever Fund.

Murkowski has a fund set up to fight the recount fund. The DOE set one up to start the whole thing over, after they realized we all woke up from a nightmare and not a real election. Just kidding.

I’m not sure this is the place to leave this comment, but I’m really hoping that AKM will have something to say about the NYT Sunday mag cover story on Palin. To me, it seemed to come from an alternate universe. The re-imaging of Palin has begun, but the cracks that she’s taken in the leaked excerpts of her new book may tarnish this new image before it’s even had time to set.

  9. Enjay in E MT says:

That was good AKM — I miss comedians who could tell a good story without having to use the F word

Anyone wants a great turkey dinner, come on over to my house. Bring a moose joke and get a free parking place.

    • TX SMR says:

Can you give me directions from texas? Start at Houston for simplicity’s sake. I will ahve to work at the joke thing, though. I am so cr!p at jokes.

Last night my husband said “let’s invite the xxxxxx family!” like it’s no problem at all for me to get the house ready, whip up a TG dinner, take care of children and juggle my 3 classes!

We were usually the host family for our family TG dinners — now we are family-less and looking for other TG loners to feed, I guess. Or maybe my husband thought that I would not cook all that delicious food if we didn’t have company?

By the way, I wandered here to the open thread to post a link to this interesting map:

I sure wish there was a job market that could support us moving to the northeast. Sadly we are quite industry/geography specific when it comes to jobs…

  11. Califpat says:

Hey Jim, you are lucky because I was always doing the lion’s share of cooking because my 6 children say I cook the best. But I am not conned, so I make sure that they each bring a dish!!! It works out and everybody has a good time. Everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving!! My children range from the ages 23 -40. Two sets of twins included in this brood! We have a woderful time!!!

  12. jimzmum says:

Now, that is the way to wake up! I wonder how a moose mingles? Probably any way he/she wants. Thank you for that old clip. It is easy to forget how so many people for so many reasons were excluded from clubs, organizations, whatever. Not only schools.

I hope everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving. Our Girlies and their parents will be here with us. The rest of the family will not be here this year. Because I am still recovering (sigh), the Girlies have announced that they will be doing the lion’s share of cooking, with Grandpa to get the heavy stuff out of the oven. I am blessed! They are bringing their recipes, and have sent us a strict shopping list. At 8 and 9, this should be good!

    • slipstream says:

Moose are a lot of fun at parties, but they always scarf up the hors d’oeuvres before the rest of us have any . . .

    • Bretta says:

It must have been Brian because his mingling manners were so good.
