Rachel Maddow Comes to Alaska!
Yes, it’s true Mudpups! Rachel Maddow will be coming to Alaska.
Shannyn Moore just made the announcement on The Shannyn Moore Show. Rachel will be taping her show tomorrow at The Taproot Cafe on Spenard Road in Anchorage!
There are only 200 tickets to the event. If you want yours, you’ll need to request them at:

First come, first served, only two tickets per request. You will be notified by email by midnight tonight if you are one of the lucky ones!

It’s a wrap mudpuppies….I’m GOIN IN….I got tickets! I’m happier than a gold digger in a room full of billionaires!!!!! Now I need to go pull out my 6in boots to wear with my outfit just in case I get lucky enough to meet Ms. Maddow. She’s a million feet tall from what I can see in the pics and I’m only 4’11. I don’t want to have to reach up to shake her hand. Oh and I guess I can put the Coleman, the cooler, & the stadium chair away because I REALLY was gonna “TAILGATE” the Taproot if I didn’t get tickets. LMBO
Just last week I was commenting to a friend what a big deal it was that AK had reached out to Rachel Maddow and a few nights later she dedicated a segment to Alaska. Now this! I haven’t been this excited about an event I can’t attend in a long time (I live in CA). Go McAdams!

okay, i guess that i am sort of not in the loop. I’m a fairbanks area human who will be attending the d.c. rally this weekend because i live in “miller land” and that’s about as close to insanity as it comes. I have gleaned from this site that there is an evening get together on saturday night ….somewhere in d.c.? ???. This is the first that i’ve heard about a get together. There will be a couple of us wearing tinfoil covered hats at the rally and we’d like to join up with fellow alaskans, but i am thinking that it will be impossible to find any others in such a crowd unless specific plans are in place. If you are interested in meeting other alaskans for the event, it’s okay to contact me at corvi@mosquitonet.com. We fly down on thursday and return on sunday afternoon.

Norm Olson is claiming the Joe Wilson is a FRIEND of his.
HE actually put it in “writing” so to speak: and others claiming to be from this militia posted there as well a Wild Bill from Soldotna Alaska and a lengthy posting by a Ron Leonard Nikiski Ak.
It would be nice if it could be verified if these were bona fide postings.

Congrats Linda and all the Mudpuppies who helped convince Ms. Maddow to make the trip to Anc. I’m dancing along with you all (well, wiggling in my chair anyway; not much of a dancer here). I record her show every night, but tomorrow I might just have to watch it live! I do hope the Mudpups agree on some identification signal that will highlight your presence to all of us envious watchers. A scarf would be great and easily visible. Way to go!

NBCs Lee Cowan has been reporting on the Lisa-Joe kerfuffle for the past two nights on _Nightly News_. I think Brian said Lee’d be up there for this whole week. (Scott McAdams has been mentioned both broadcasts, but just in passing…)

Lee isn’t doing a horrendous job, but he is leaving *so* much out! Not a mention of the ‘assistance’ in the voting booths, of Joe’s thugs or military record, of the unique peoples in the state and of their unique needs, etc. — possibly he’s planning on bringing those things up later on in the week, but I keep yelling at the TV with the ‘added’ bits he’s sooooo leaving out of the story. My sweethawt assures me Lee can’t hear me, though. I haz a sad that people aren’t getting the *full* story…
Hopefully Rachel will remedy that. I trust her wonderful digging will expose the slime for what it is; people *do* need to know the depths to which ‘we’ have sunk when we think it’s somehow ‘progressing’ Democracy by having complete loony-tunes on the ballot. The story of AKs Tea Baggers and ‘rogue’ GOPers is a mirror of what’s being displayed all over the nation by similar nutjobbers who talk out of their arse in a grandstand attempt at deluding their selfs and potential voters that they are “just like [me and you].” Gaaak!

Will there be any internet connections to listen to as we can’t get MSNBC, or Shannyn’s show anymore since they changed over to the new system in Anchor Point. I’ve tried everything to get it downloaded. Our Dish program doesn’t have MSNBC. Enjoy and hope someone will report on it.

No one should visit Anchorage without going to the Moose’s Tooth Pub and Pizzeria. Awesome pizza and beer that they brew on their own. I’m sure Rachel would love it! Oh and I would recommend the ‘Avalanche’ pizza (Chicken, Bacon and Cilanto topping with BBQ Sauce). 🙂

@zyggy – try http://radiotime.com/ to get Shannyn’s show. Sometimes it works, but in the last two weeks, I’ve gotten lots of “server full” messages. I think if you tune in to the Thom Hartmann Show before Shannyn’s show, you might be able to get in.
