Brand new lie! Facebook ad from a profile just founded today with only one posting, this one:

I’m with you dreamgirl!! Cannot wait for boots on the ground pictures and relating the amazing experiences! I saw some of it but there is nothing like the writings of Mudpups to take us there. Oh, yeh, I did see Staples sing , “I’ll Take You There”. How appropriate! So I want the Mudpups to take me there. Have oodles of fun Mudpups!

    • dreamgirl says:

Cat Steven’s Peace Train, from the 70’s, always makes me cry then wonder why….. still now, why does his music make me feel so much.

Cat Stevens, love you so much… bless you. (from an agnostic)

      • dreamgirl says:

        Cat Stevens:

Peace Train always wrecks me in the best possible way.

        Wild world does too .

Thank you Yusuf . (My heart and mind sings with u)

  4. fawnskin mudpuppy says:

    kinda ot but not really…

life was perfect today in washington d.c….
sharing space with thousands and thousands of laughing, singing, clapping people.
we are back at the hotel exhausted from our day on the mall.
i wish for each of you the moments to spend a day of your lives smiling like we have.

    • dreamgirl says:

I’m waiting for pictures and then every single detail! Until then, I respectfully/jealously wait, foot stomping, until some elite rally-goer can enlighten moi!

Pictures and stories a-plenty…… still waiting… (have a great night Mudpups on the Rally ground! sleep tight then spill it!) (really spill it).

BTW The Guardian UK had great coverage of the rally! XOXOOO the those across the pond who cared enough to attend! (XOXXOOO)

      • LoveMyDogs says:

I’m with you dreamgirl. Although, after seeing the pictures, I am not sure that I would not have completely freaked out being around that many people. I was getting claustrophoic in a shopping mall in Denver the last time I was there. I am not used to being around that many people.

        • dreamgirl says:

I’m the same way. I went to a concert when I was a teen and people got trampled to death on their way out. After finding out the next day, I have tried not to be at large public gatherings. Last time I tried was at an outdoor concert for Aerosmith, and I got a panic attack trying to leave the venue.

(was also grouped by man in crotch area, as a teen, in crowded food court while Christmas shopping with my Mom and siblings…. Mom said it never happened when I told her. Nice.) ( I avoid crowds like the plague.)

  5. Ben says:

How did the rally go? I thought the Washington one was great to watch.

  6. Joe 12-pack says:

Did anyone else see this while Fagan had it on the AK Standard yesterday. It was only up for a few hours then mysteriously disappeared. I love google cache treasures

Parnell: “Is he blowing yet another big lead”
    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:dXX2JTVkoLMJ:www.thealaskastandard.com/content/he-blowing-yet-another-big-lead+alaska+standard+is+parnell+blowing+it&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

    • Alaska Pi says:

      Holy moley! Missed that…
      Whoa… from Fagan even…

      • Joe 12-pack says:

It was easy to miss…I think he pulled it pretty quickly. I wonder who pressured him to yank it?

        • Alaska Pi says:

          Me too…
          wondering…
actually, was a decent take on a variety of things whether one agrees with Mr Fagan ( I rarely, rarely do… )

    • leenie17 says:

Well, I suppose with Palin’s tanking favorable numbers, it only makes sense that her hand-picked puppet would be slipping in the polls as well. Perhaps if, in the months since he took over, he had taken the opportunity to show slightly more personality than a bowl of congealed oatmeal, and demonstrated that he had some small measure of independent thought, beyond what is dictated by Princess Wind Between Her Ears, he might still have a solid lead over Berkowitz.

It would surely bweak my widdle heart if he got beat by Ethan! 😉

    • Wow, what a great find! I’ll make sure and give this some much needed attention!

    • dreamgirl says:

I would think most Alaskans know Parnell was NOT elected as governor and he was just $arahPaylin’s do-nothing flunkie.

Vote Berkowitz for Governor… especially if you love Alaska!

      • LoveMyDogs says:

Actually, I think Berkowitz has a pretty good chance at this one. I have spoken to a lot of Republicans (who cannot stand SP) who have told me they are voting for him. Parnell carries the baggage of SP with him.

  7. gm says:

Speaking of sanity, go look at Alaska Dispatch for today’s story about Joe Miller’s various paranoid behaviors during the past couple years, including telling office mates to expect public records requests that would show child pornography on his computer. And he feared for his life due to the threat from fellow Republicans. Oh my, will today’s rallies be enough to bring sanity back to us here in Alaska? We are pretty far gone!

    • Alaska Pi says:

We are not too far gone though some of our neighbors have crested the ridge and disappeared into-never-never land the last few months.
JM’s paranoia is sad, he’s obnoxious and pitiful, scary and laughable, horrifying and clownish…

Don’t let worrying about him knock the stuffing out of you, please.
We need all of us! 🙂
No matter who wins the race.

    • dreamgirl says:

Is Joe Miller Schizophrenic? He sure sounds and acts like it. So does his mentor/puppetmaster –Paylin.

Not even trying to be funny.

  8. I See Villages from my House says:

Surreal, coming face to face – making the leap from virtual contemporaries to handshakes and hugs in DC tonight. Didn’t catch everyones screen name, but loved meeting everyone and AKM after the Sanity / Fear Rally.

Quyana Pat, for hosting! So generous!

    More to write but have to get on the road again. Irishgirl – I can’t access the forum – please email me icvillages a t g m a i l dot c o m

  9. Valley_Independent says:

I don’t know about the Anchorage Rally, but the Wasilla one was great! Thanks to all who worked on it and all who came.

    • TheRubberRoomHotel says:

It really was fun! I was so glad I went.
Wish I could have spent more time after the TV portion.
Really well done! KUDOS to the event organizers, and thanks to the PTA for the refreshments.

  10. Susan says:

Could someone who attended the Anchorage rally post a note about it? My car’s in the shop and I’m housebound 25 miles from Anchorage.

    • I’m processing the pictures now…Scott McAdams, Senator Begich, and Harry Crawford were all there! And, Shannyn Moore was the “surprise” speaker! (But it wasn’t a surprise to you guys…and I didn’t know it was supposed to be one!)

I should have a photo essay of the Rally up in the morning.

  11. Jerry G says:

Sounds like loads of fun, wish I’d known about this sooner.

  13. ks sunflower says:

Parnell is one stupid man and he tries to cover it by pulling an Angle-like sidestep! Just doesn’t know (and doesn’t know how to find out, I guess). Who would vote for this imbecile?

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/29/sean-parnell-age-of-the-earth_n_776215.html

    • Moose Pucky says:

Yes, when Parnell and Berkowitz were asked what is closer to your sense of the truth?
The earth is 6,000 years old or the earth is 6 billion years old.

      Parnell said: “Only God knows.”
Berkowitz said: “The earth is 6 billion years old.”

  14. ks sunflower says:

Didn’t spot AKM or Gryphen, but I did see an It’s About Alaska poster!

  15. aussiegal77 says:

Kids, today’s lesson is: read and learn about as many things as you can, as much as you can. It makes you look less insane!

    • ks sunflower says:

      Thanks!

That gave me a good laugh. Of course, Sarah is always a reliable source for laughter. I wonder if anyone will praise her for her support of the ACLU?

      • beth says:

And her round-about support of Unions. And her round-about support of science over religion. And her round-about support of no death penalty. Dear, dear $arah…she gets so danged confused in that wee little brain of hers.

I’m sure she thought herself very clever to quote a lawyer to a lawyer… and, yeah, *if* the quoted lawyer [Darrow] were *anything* like the one she was quoting *to* [Miller] it’d might’ve been neat. Problem is: you have to know >things< to be clever like that. She doesn't know jack…let alone things. Darrow is light-years *beyond* where Miller could ever *hope* to get in his [or $arah's] wildest imagination.

Even forgetting that the quote she picked is about "lost causes", how in the world could she quote someone who’s the antithesis of Miller — that is how she shows *support* of the person, beliefs, ethics, values, drive, of him, of Miller? Sheesh, talk about highlighting the obvious and then rubbing it in!

Even $arah *must* know putting Darrow and Miller in the same Tweet makes no sense whatsoever… she *must* know there are Margot Fontaines in this world and then there are ballerinas who dance the Nutcracker Suite in middle school but will never get beyond that.

Then again, why should it surprise me that she isn’t able to make such a distinction…she thinks that just because one has served in the military –as her bud Joe did– that person is automatically and forever [no take-sies back! Ever!] ethical, honest, upright, moral, honorable, etc. She is *quite* the piece of work; I do wish she’d just go away. beth.

      LOL
Awesome! Truth is certainly stranger than fiction.
      Pass the popcorn!

    • Pat in MA says:

Unbelievable, well actually, no it’s not. Darrow? A member of the ‘evolution is a myth party’ and she quotes Darrow? Egad.

    • LoveMyDogs says:

Best sign so far (with my very slow dial up) from the WashPost page said “Everytime Sarah Palin tweets, God kills a kitten”

  16. curiouser says:

I thought I saw AKM but didn’t trust my eyes. How fun!

  17. RiverWoman says:

PSSSST! Dianne Benson, as the head of the AK division of Elections, would NEVER tolerate these shenanigans! Pass it on!

  18. hummm, maybe it is time to get out of my housecoat and leave the house…..

  19. Moose Pucky says:

Alaska’s Supreme Court decision that basically says “anything goes” at “anybody’s discretion” who asks for “assistance” at the polls requires that sanity be restored to government in Alaska.

It’s time to vote the established Republican administration out in Alaska and all their associated appointees.
