Alaska is currently in a weird spot. Currently oil is going for less than salmon. I’m sure that these numbers aren’t 100% comparable for AK, but either way it’s a fantastic conversation starter.

Alaska is currently in a weird spot. Currently oil is going for less than salmon. I’m sure that these numbers aren’t 100% comparable for AK, but either way it’s a fantastic conversation starter.
gas is $2.27 / gal here on the California Central Coast.. crap- silly thing posted too soon.. I’ve somehow attracted thru a mutual friend, what appears to be one of the Bundy Supporters on my FB page… yeah, I do progressive postings when I see something that seems appropriate..So far things have been pretty cordial, although today he wanted me to keep my opinion to myself on the events in Oregon… I politlely reminded him that it was MY FB and I will post my opinion as I see fit… and then gently pointed out that there were people who tried to intimadate others with weapons to keep silent of they weren’t in lock step with them.. also pointed out that armed protest was against the law, and that he should get elected if he wants to change the laws he disagrees with.. as he played the “In Harm’s Way”, I remindedhim that I had at one point swore an oath to “protect from enemies both foreign and domestic” .. I think he got the point, as no response… 🙂 must be getting cranky in my old age….. 🙂

Don’t know about a conversation starter,but I am willing to bet more true romances have started with those exact words.
Last time I looked ethanol gas was $1.63 per gallon and unleaded was $1.99 per gallon in iowa. Propane has been 80 cent a gallon for awhile and wouldn’t you know I am still on my first 400 gallons for the winter.I’ll need a fill up before too long. It has been in the 30s lately.
My bad-unleaded is $1.91 per gal as of yesterday.
Salmon prolly tastes better than oil and is healthier for you.
