Michael Savage Tells Us “What Happened” to America.

Caller (with pronounced accent):  What happened to us Dr. Savage? (speaking of the country)

Savage:  What happened to us?  How many ways can I tell you who did this to us?  It started 30 or 40 years ago with the radical left.  It started with so many different pressure groups screaming for their own ends in order to suppress the white Christian heterosexual married male.  The white, Christian, heterosexual, married male is the epitome of everything right with America, and yet it is the white, Christian, heterosexual, married male who has been made the beast of America.  I can delimit for you further, but I would rather not do so at this time.  I think you can pretty much fill in the blanks yourself…  I don’t know.  Whatever.  I got a migraine from it already.

Unbelievable.

The more I read about Alaska on the Mudflats blog, the more I am convienced that Alaska is a part of the deep south USA.

This particular nutjob is national. We have some of our own, but just wanted to clear that up! AKM

    “I don’t want pedophiles in my four-plex!”

Since the vast majority of pedophiles are heterosexual males who rape young women, girls, and even young boys, (John Wayne Gacy comes to mind)-

Maybe one or two or the blue shirts should point this out, just so its in the record.

I’d like to think that the council is so offended by the hours of perverted filth that some many of these anti-Christians spout that they will be repelled by them the rest of their political lives.

I will say, he is right about one thing: he and his ilk ARE what’s happened to America (and I don’t mean that in a good way). As someone who fails on every. single. one. of. his. points., I say, “Viva la France!”

  5. justafarmer says:

who can guess the hate preacher/anti-gay protesters before reading the article?

  6. justafarmer says:

ran through all the comments looking to see if anyone did a link as to why he is banned from UK.
I remember reading about it online when it happened. Here’s something from The Independent on May 5, 2009:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/16-banned-from-britain-named-and-shamed-1679127.html
“Sixteen people banned from entering the UK were “named and shamed” by the Home Office today. Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said she decided to make public the names of 16 people banned since October so others could better understand what sort of behaviour Britain was not prepared to tolerate.
The list includes hate preachers, anti-gay protesters and a far- right US talk show host. “

I singled out his heritage only to highlight his hypocrisy. He is a blatant bigot. Did you see his comments today? This guy is awful!

I called him for what he is. Hypocrite. My choice of words might have been wrong and offensive to some, but I didn’t mean to offend. I was simply pointing out the irony and hypocrisy.
    ————————–
I wasn’t offended, I’m rarely offended by opinion. But as you can see, using the calling cards of bigotry to fight bigotry… can be misunderstood.

Sure, the edgier of our great comedians have made the point usurping the voice of bigotry — Bruce, Dice, Kinison, Pryor… I’ll add Colbert, because he flames the right so well, they actually think he’s speaking for them… and just to get someone still breathing on the list. But in general, how have the lives and careers of our best human advocates gone? All it usually took was one misstep.

I don’t count Rickles, or Kaufman, or Miller, because they might have claimed their acts were meant to lampoon bigotry — but they were merely excusing their own.

Don’t let my opinion, or misreading, stop you from using any civilized weapon against the purveyors of hatred — but some of them go off in your hand, if not handled *just* right. Practice makes perfect, of course — and there’s nothing like learning from a master. Me? As an ex-catholic, there’s nothing I get more ironic satisfaction from than Lord Buckley. And I’m pretty sure I’m misreading him, too.

Honestly, it must be hard to be those people. Everyday they have to get up and come up with totally negative rhetoric for their rabid fans. I’m guessing they are not very happy.

Turns out Michael Weiner (Savage) is actually Jewish. His parents are from Russia. So while he may be Caucasian, he certainly is not the “white” he is talking about
    _________

Huh? Say again?… just what, exactly, is your definition of “white”. Ever been to Russia? You might find yourself a darker “shade of pale”

Ah, yes, the epitomy of goodness and light! He left out the ‘GOP’ part. Today sent me a list of the white, supposedly hetrosexual, supposedly christian males (and Rethugs) who have been convicted of pedophelia, child rape and child abuse, adultery, sex with animals (just one), and all of them, all of them were “anti-abortion”, anti-gay bigots and hypocrites and fools. Many of them were convicted of soliciting GAY sex and were against gay rights. I would send it to y’all, but it runs over 50 in number. Oh, and some, on being charges with child rape, or abusing little boys, killed themselves. I am sure and certain Mr. Weiner is referring to these paragons of virtue! Wonder how we could find out about his sex life?

    —————-
Possibly you might want to read a little further in Wiki. Because having Jewish-Russian ancesters doesn’t preclude you from being any sort of “white”. In fact, it might qualify as pre-boarding.

Wiki — Caucasian may refer to:

Peoples of the Caucasus, humans from the Caucasus region
Caucasian race, a racial classification of human beings
A term sometimes used to describe white people
Caucasian, a nickname for a White Russian (cocktail)

The last one just amused me, since I’m a big Rachel fan. Racism never has.

Did anyone else read the wikipedia article? Turns out Michael Weiner (Savage) is actually Jewish. His parents are from Russia. That really has to be the height of hypocrisy. So while he may be Caucasian, he certainly is not the “white” he is talking about and not Christian. And from the article, he might be a little weak in the heterosexual classification.

Does one out of four count? Has anyone ever called him on anything?
I wonder how his family feels about him. I really feel sorry if they are alive to see what has happened to someone who was probably a cute, loving little boy once.

Though his father sounded abusive so he may be running away from a difficult childhood. No excuse to ruin it for other people, however. Sad.

  22. clydedog says:

The white, male, alleged Christian has run this country from the beginning and does today. They have the best opportunities, own most of the businesses, and have the highest incomes compared to women or any other group. They have always made the rules, or played the rules to their favour.
The conservative component loves to play the victim, blowing out of proportion anything that may make them share. Weather it is minimum wage, equal pay for women or opportunities for other groups, they won’t give up easily. Neither should we. I am in the under funded white male category myself.

  23. woodstove says:

Michael, the badass when he is all alone in his protected room with a microphone, Savage/ Weenie along with all the chicken hawks that send our kids off to die for, and by the way Sarah they are not over there fighting for our freedom of speech, as I was saying, they are dying for the old white christian male heterosexual’s greed, lust for power, and in general manifest destiny to pillage and plunder all people and places in this world while calling anyone who fights back a terrorist. I am still wondering where America has racked up any moral authority in its short history. We don’t torture, we are better than that, since when? Maybe it was after we fire bombed Tokyo and then dropped a couple of nukes on them. I know, if not for our involvement in WWII we would all be speaking Japanese or German. Bullshit! Nobody wants America. It was and still is all geopolitics and control of resources and energy and the people that live on top of those resources be damned. It all boils down to who will we pay to be our friends in the end and what price will it bring when the Goddamned dollar don’t mean a thing? We are perilously close to that day. Check out http://www.globalresearch.ca and just read some of the last few days articles. MSM is not about the truth, you have to go elsewhere, this is one place. Yada yada yada.

  24. Lori in Los Angeles says:

oregonbird reminded me of a play we did in College:

Lysistrata is one of the few surviving plays written by the master of Old Comedy, Aristophanes. Originally performed in classical Athens in 411 BC, it is a comic account of one woman’s extraordinary mission to end The Peloponnesian War. Lysistrata convinces the women of Greece to withhold sexual privileges from their husbands as a means of forcing the men to negotiate a peace, a strategy however that inflames the battle between the sexes. The play is notable for its exposé of sexual relations in a male-dominated society and for its use of both double entendre and explicit obscenities.

  25. northofdenali says:

Funny, my spouse, a white (nominally Christian) married, heterosexual male isn’t threatened by HIS OWN left-wing political ideology, his ability to read and understand our Constitution, his positive attitude toward marriage equality for everyone, his belief in a UNITED States of America –

    Mr. Weiner, you’re an idiot.

  26. oregonbird says:

Every time I hear something like this, I console myself with the memory of a certain Pennsylvania mining town.

For years, the women miners were unaware that their company bathing facilities were riddled with holes, and that the men of the company — executives, office staff, foremen, miners — their fathers, husbands, uncles, brothers, cousins and sons — ran lotteries to choose who would get to watch the women before and after every shift. Not one man in the town respected the women enough to warn them, or to blow the whistle. When the women finally did discover the invasion of privacy, and how pervasive the abuse had been, they cut off privileges to the town’s men. ALL the privileges.

There have been Italian and Greek villages where, because of wide-spread abuse or a single choice that affected their lives, the women for generations refused to speak directly to the men.

I’m beginning to think that white, Xian, heterosexual married males might be due to have their privileges cut off. Eventually, there would be fewer to initiate into the whiny joys of misogyny, racism and selfish sex.

Shh. I’m having a happy dream.

Oh, there were plenty of positive references, too, but if you’re gonna take the good you damn well gotta take the bad, ya oxymoron.

  33. Ian says:

A few years back, I happened upon Mr. “Savage” in a boutique grocery store back in California. The man spent 15+ minutes on his cell phone discussing macaroni and cheese to the point that I want to walk up to him and slap the phone right out of his hand. I wish I could have recorded it and uploaded it to Utube or something (this was before Utube and before video recording was on cell phones) — it was just that idiotic.

I don’t know who he was talking to on the other end (must have been a wife or significant other), but it was pretty obvious that his persona on the radio is a far cry from his real life — what a douche.

To quote Julia Sugar Baker from Designing Women:

“in general it has been the men who have done the raping and the robbing and the killing and the war-mongering for the last two thousand years…. and it’s been the men who have done the pillaging and the beheading and the subjecating of whole races into slavery. It has been the men who have done the law making and the money making and the most of the mischief making! So if the world isn’t quite what you had in mind you have only yourselves to thank!!”

And as always male mudpups are the exception to this quote. : )

  44. Lee323 says:

I assume that “WCHMM” (white, christian, heterosexual, married male) is the more exquisitely defined 21st century version of “WASP.”

Let’s see….he added sex (male), more sex (heterosexual), and legal sex (married) to “de..limited” class of victims.

Add his moniker into the mix….and you come up with “Savage sex.”

When is he going to add “bathroom sex” into the acronym? From what I’ve seen and heard lately…it fits.

  45. strangelet says:

Michael Weiner — bless his heart. A former lefty wacko who switched to righty wacko, possibly because the employment opportunities for righty wacko radio blatherers are much better than those for lefties.

Evidently, at various times in my life I have been the epitome of all that is right with America, despite being a lifelong Democrat and admitted kneejerk bleeding-heart librul.

At other times, due to being unmarried, not so much, I guess. Oddly, I’ve always felt like the same person. I have to admit that I’m probably now disqualified on the “Christian” part — I’ve reverted to the view of most of the well known Constitutional Framers: Deism. Gosh, I guess that means the Framers weren’t the epitome either.

AKM….get this over to HuffPost. Right now, there’s a kerfuffle about Jim Cramer going on about wanting Obama to go away. Might as well as this to the list of GOP problems…

Oh yeah, BTW, here’s some more news re: GOP:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/18/gop-less-popular-than-eve_n_217582.html

Can it get any worse for the GOP?

Republican popularity has sunk to its lowest point in the party’s grand old history, according to new polls conducted by the New York Times, CBS, Wall Street Journal and NBC.

A New York Times/CBS study finds the GOP stuck with a mere 28 percent approval rating, while a Wall Street Journal/NBC poll sees the party struggling even more, at 25 percent.

Both reports noted that today’s Republican Party, which has held the executive branch for 20 of the last 28 years, garners less public approval than ever before.

    From the NYT/CBS report:

…the poll found that the Republican Party is viewed favorably by only 28 percent of those polled, the lowest rating ever in a New York Times/CBS News poll.

    From the WSJ/NBC report:

25 percent hold a favorable view of the Republican Party, which is an all-time low for it in the poll.

Democrats fared considerably better in both polls, earning the approval of 57 and 45 percent of the public, respectively. President Obama’s ratings were even higher, at 63 and 56 percent.

Timing of poll…wonder if this was before/after SP’s gracin’ of the lower 48?

This same Michael Savage was on the list issued in Britain last month as undersirables to enter the country. When asked the reason, the Home Secretary has said that “Coming to this country is a privilege,” Smith said. “We won’t allow people into this country who are going to propagate the sort of views … that fundamentally go against our values.” and also said that Savage, the No. 3-rated radio host in the U.S., is “someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country.”
He is pissed that he is linked with mass murders and other undesirables that were on the list of banned persons and has threatened to sue. (he is still on the banned list)

  70. Good grief. I thought people who actually believed that had died out ages ago. Now that I think of it, my spouse would qualify, but he thinks Palin is an idiot and wholly supported Obama, so I’m sure Savage must have omitted one of the qualifiers for his ilk.

Russ Weiner ran for the state Assembly in 1998 as a Republican, touting the fact that he with his dad had founded the conservative Paul Revere Society (later stripped of its nonprofit status, and now redirecting Web browsers directly to Savage’s site.)

Does everyone associated with the RepoTaliban have an Palinesque Martyr Complex? Why do they worry about drag queens when they are the party of Drama Queens?

These idiots are so stupid that they actually believed Herr Karl’s PR that the RepoTaliban would have a majority of the US Congress, and would occupy the WH for 40 years.

They lose one after only 4 years and the other after only 8 and now they are having a cry-baby attack and rolling on the floor in self pity.

They’re not mature enough to govern.
Please Republican Party hold your breath till you pass out. At least the rest of the world would not have to listen to your whining and squalling for a while.

I will give Michael Weiner Savage credit for getting a quicker read on Palin that most of his ilk, and thankfully, he was right.

I ended up listening to him about this time, my BF came and said Micheal Savage hates Palin! So I had to hear him, but that didn’t last long, I guess his blue pill kicked in and he towed the line, the MSM attacking her, blah, blah, blah…!

  74. Enjay in E. MT says:

Last night I was at my favorite game site – which has open chat for players in the game room – some of the players starting talking about PO and his policies – with government funds being used for Abortion / Immigration / Deficit Spending / China ownes our country / etc etc. etc.

I was very disgusted with the so called “Christian Values” exhibited with racial & ethnic slurs towards anyone “different” from themselves. I understand “their right to free speech” – just as I feel I was denied my rights to free speech when I was against the Iraq war – but to use that kind of language – was enough for me to report them for abuse. With luck – they will be banned from the site by the “language police”

Am I becoming more sensitive to what is being said or are they just becoming more “radical” in their comments. I don’t know – but it is very disturbing.

This guys off his meds…Calling Dr. Scarah…Whatta tool….

  76. antiAnti says:

Geeeesh, maybe Gov. Palin should talk to this guy about the self-image of young women.

  77. InJuneau says:

the problem child–well, my lurker spouse does, but I still don’t think MS would like him (he used to be part of the “liberal media”(!) and is rather a tree hugger also too).

@ aussiegal77 #13: I fail on 3, so I should leave the USA also, too.

Do any mudpups actually satisfy all criteria? I have my doubts.

    This one doesn’t.

“The white, Christian, heterosexual, married male is the epitome of everything right with America, and yet it is the white, Christian, heterosexual, married male who has been made the beast of America.”

This is just code for the “good ole’ boy network”. Racist, anti-Jew, homophobic. I’m so glad they are slowly but surely going the way of the dodo bird.

How ironic that I was listening to NPR’s “All Things Considered” this morning, and this is so relevant:

  85. the problem child says:

    aussiegal77, I fail on all but 2, so I wouldn’t worry.

  86. Candy Knight says:

Wow. Just, wow. Let’s see: I’m only part white, not a Christian, not male, but heterosexual and married. Does that mean I’m part of what’s right with America or part of what’s wrong? Maybe I need him to “delimit it” for me further.

  87. aussiegal77 says:

“The white, Christian, heterosexual, married male is the epitome of everything right with America”

Hunh. The 5 criterias to be the epitome of “right” in America. I fail on 2. Should I leave now?

    Jackass.

Poor Dr. Savage. He must at some point have had to go to the bathroom in Anchorage to be so deeply traumatized.

  91. sjk from the belly of the plane says:

dr. savage has a Mental DIsorder of the highest order. He is a megalomanical douchebag. I listen to him on the way home until I cant take it anymore…Usually about 10 minutes. He is certifiable and was also banned from entering Great Britain.

  92. BuffaloGal says:

Ironically – At the very moment that I was reading Savage’s comment, Charlie Rose was giving the lead-up to the topic for his show which will be how the internet, twitter, facebook and instant messaging is making a difference in the uprising in Iran.

What a juxtapose, yes? Here this ignorant man, Savage, is using technology to spew neanderthal, sexist, hateful ideas out into the airwaves at the very moment that Iranians are using those very same technologly and airwaves to change the world for the better.

** sigh ** Is anyone else feeling really really tired lately ?
