Open Thread – Hello From the Atlantic

I’m with my family out on Cape Cod, MA enjoying the solstice sun and trying to stay away from the news. So, mudpuppies – what am I missing?

Wisconsin wingnut faces 13 felony counts of voter fraud. He voted 5 times for Walker in Walker’s recall election alone. So of course wingnuts are blaming Dems for opposing voter ids.

Looks like ol’ Guv Fat and Furious has more bridge troubles ahead of him. Apparently he used money for a bridge that he was told he could not use.

Mike, this is the first time I’ve read/heard “ol’ Guv Fat and Furious” !! Excellent handle. Apparently NJ has a problem with bridges to nowhere or no one, also. n

South Dakota wingnut governor Dudley Do Wrong Daugaard petitioned the Obama administration for more federal disaster aid a day after his party’s state platform called for Obama’s impeachment..There has to be a word for that kind of chutzpah. Ben in Calif. and Mag the Mick,I swear I’m working on sending you both as much rain as you can use. Hang in there and when it shows please give me credit. Thank you.

Yikes, that is more water than I can ever possibly drink. Cold too,I’ll bet. Thanks for the chilling reminder and is there anyway to blame this on Obama?

      • mike from iowa says:

South Dakota’s wingnut party platform consists basically of impeachment charges against Obam and their willingness to impeach him.

How about a three way holy war? Doesn’t everybody like blood? Since the Pope ex-communicated all gangsters, maybe Mitten’s Mormons can convert them all and the Mob can go postal on both religions. A vow of celibacy vs a vow of silence vs a vow of 10% tithing. I’m betting on the guys with the guns.

  6. You’re not missing a damned thing, as I see it…!! Looks lovely.!

Quick run down to the Hamptons and annul Katie Couric’s marriage. The little witch forgot to ask me and I’m too mad to talk to her.

  8. Alaska Pi says:

Zach- you are missing nothing. vacation is vacation. slap your hand for even signing onto an electronic device, young man!!! go play!!!!!

  9. mike from iowa says:

You’re missing Mudpuppies. I think they all perished. Pretty sure they are tired of hearing about me.

      never mikey! never!

I’m glad to see flash flood did not carry you away my friend.
We got rilly wet here again but not all the thunderstorm, flash flood hoobobby you have had.
I have been spending non-garden spare time working on Dem campaigns. My mouth is too big to be on the front lines so I’m doing behind the scenes stuff. Is okay. We always pretty much get whopped in the elections but I gotta try. And maybe this time…?
      Gotta have dreams, eh?

South Dakota is another state where Dem hope runs dry. They hardly field candidates anymore. The wingnut guv closed down I-29 north of Sioux City. He was gonna plug an off ramp and divert Big Sioux floodwater through the town of McCook Lake to protect the millionaires in North Sioux City and Dakota Dunes who built lavish houses in the flood plain. Fortunately, the BS river crested early and lower than expected. Truckers were being re-routed clear over to Albert Lea,Minn and down to Ames,Iowa on I-35 and then over to Omaha on I-80. $70 extra miles and 7 or 8 hours of drive time. Keep up the good work and you will be rewarded,I hope.

      • Bless your heart…!! Give them hell…!!
