HAPPY E DAY!

~Alaskans for Sanity at the Rally in D.C. / photo from Mudflatter Tory

This is it – the big day. There will be exciting victories and bitter disappointments across the country, but however the day ends, we will have at the very least exercised our most basic right in a democracy.

And as always, there will be places where problems arise. So here’s the best thing you can do. Bring your cell phone to the polling place, and if it doesn’t have video capabilities, bring a video camera. Document any irregularities you see. It can make all the difference in making sure problems are identified and fixed.

Voting Problems/questions

If you hear of any polling issues out there, please direct people to these hotlines:

Anchorage: 258-3050

Outside of Anchorage: 1-866-258-3050

Outside Alaska: 1-866-OUR-VOTE

Polling Places

Not sure where your polling place is? Find out HERE before you leave the house. Outside Alaska? Check HERE.

Rides

If you need a ride to a polling place, or can provide a ride for those needing assistance, contact McAdams headquarters

Anchorage:  297-2575
Fairbanks: 322-8358
Juneau: 789-0357

And finally, if you want to join the McAdams crew, gather at Club Saroya downtown at 4th and C Street. Meet at 8pm when the polls close, and eventually we’ll make the march to Election Central at the Egan Center.

I’ll be there with bells on, tweeting from Election Central. If you want to be there as it happens, follow me at www.twitter.com/mudflats

Shannyn Moore will be broadcasting live from Election central at kudo1080.com

And wherever you are, get out there and vote. Grab your neighbor, go on a lunch date, go with friends, take your kids and exercise your most basic right. Most of all, VOTE YOUR VALUES.

Irishgirl and I went to vote. we voted straight Democratic ticket. then we went picture taking by the river and lunch at a lovely little bistro. life is good
no matter what happens tonight we mudpups stood up and held our ground. that’s what counts when all is said and done.
in a half an hour my sweet Irishgirl will leave me and return to her family and friends in Ireland.
i am already tearing up. i am not ready to let her go but we will see each again.
to all the stand up pups, we salute you….love Bubbles

    • LoveMyDogs says:

We’ll be waiting at home for you Momma Bubbles.

Did you and Irish jump rope with the Muslims at the rally? I thought that was the greatest idea ever!

      • Irishgirl says:

Irishgirl didn’t get to jump rope. bless her. she did do the wave though.
and me? i was too busy doing the Mudpup Boogie Woogie.
i thought of you LoveMD when the Alaskans pups gathered round to give me hugs and kisses.
I See villages and her family were there and Scout and her family. you were missed but they gave me plenty love to be going on with. now Villages just has to tell me where to get the boots they had on.
one last thing i want to add about the rally and it’s aftermath. the “dear hubbies” were spectacular. they looked after all us pups whether we belonged to them or not. so to all the lovely spouses i say “Thank You.

I loved it when I read that. Wonder if they did double dutch?

  2. LoveMyDogs says:

One good thing about dial up…..no robocalls.

  3. slipstream says:

Just got a robocall from Senator Begich in support of Scott McAdams. Should I go vote again?

  4. Motorhead says:

Jeez, the most annoying robocall I got last night was that screeching trainwreck Michelle Bachman, screaming in her normal tone of voice that I needed to be sure to vote for jivin’ Joe . I shouted an instinctive epithet back into the phone and hung up … the dogs were a little confused.

    Go SCOTT!!!

  5. LA Brian says:

I did vote bright and early this morning in LA. I can’t read 2 of the 4 languages that signs were posted in — should I be suspicious and suspect a Vietnamese electioneering effort?

Although I received/deleted a number of robocalls I only listened to one out of sheer curiosity. It was Danny Glover speaking in support of Prop 19 (legalizing marijuana).

  6. OMG says:

Urgent: Coons’ camp (Delaware) has expressed a worry about the lack of voter turnout. If you know any Delawareans please encourage them to get out to vote and not take anything for granted. If they don’t, they may be saying hello to their new Senator…O’Donnell!

  7. pacos_gal says:

Watch around 5:30ET for exit poll results to start coming in.
26 states are doing exit polls for local elections. Turnout of Dem vs Repub is what to look for and which way local elections are going. That should give us an idea of which way things are looking over all.

Here is to hoping for high dem turn out! cheers

  8. twain12 says:

as an outsider i really can’t wrap my head around the fact that there are so many people voting for Angle ….if jobs are the issue ,why would somebody vote for somebody that basically said that it wasn’t her responsibility to create jobs or that she’ll talk issues after she gets elected. I just don’t get it !!!

Good luck , i hope it will not get to insane .

    Andy Borowitz

    ELECTION DAY:

    Remember, your vote is valuable.

Politicians have spent billions trying to buy it.

    • Bretta says:

Andy Borowitz! I laught so hard at his reporting of the Faux News report of the Sanity/Fear Rally: Faux News estimated the crowd at seven people.

  10. InJuneau says:

Voted with my values and my brains this morning, instead of voting my my ovaries as Leasa would suggest that I do.

BTW, got a weird robocall last night about how Ethan was the gov. candidate who worked across party lines (with Lisa and Ted) so that when I was voting for Lisa I should also vote for Ethan. Oddest one I think I’ve ever gotten.

    • AKaurora says:

I got another Pat Boone robocall last night reminding me that he had called last week (praising Miller). This time no names, no party, just be sure to vote. On my way to vote for Scott now!

    • Moose Pucky says:

I got one from Joe Miller’s parents. But I didn’t listen past that.
