Still watchin’. Now I feel like I’m burnin’ alive.

  2. puffin shrapnel palin says:

I’m watching “Sarah’s Alaska”. Todd looks like he’s burnin’ alive.

  3. jojobo1 says:

Beck will get away with what he says because Faux noise claims they are an infotainment station not a news station,so what they say is for entertainment not news.Thats why they get away with so much

  4. Ed D says:

That makes my current exile in Washington state even more painfu.

  5. gm says:

Shocked to see that “State of Alaska” is a current (as of Nov. 11,2010) advertiser on the Glenn Beck show on Fox. Anybody here on this? Who do we contact to get this halted immediately? Read this recent posting for why this is the last straw for Beck.

add a Dem House seat saved…Ben Chandler has FINALLY been declared the winner in Kentucky.
Chandler had 119,812 votes, or 50.1 percent, to Andy Barr’s 119,164 votes, or 49.9 percent.

The chickens (or loons, as the case may be) are coming home to roost, and the voting machines haven’t even cooled down yet!

The Tea Party Patriots wanted to make sure that the newly elected Repubs were answerable to their right wingnut constituents. They released the PERSONAL cell phone numbers and email addresses of almost 100 new Republican representatives, and encouraged people to call them and urge them to attend Tea Party-sponsored events in DC instead of events sponsored by “Washington insiders”. Needless to say, those representatives were NOT happy to have their personal information disclosed to the general public!

The Claremont Institute, a conservative think tank, is sponsoring one of the supposedly ‘bad’ events and their president has been getting nasty, threatening phone calls, telling him to call off his event. These people sure are high class folks!

There’s an old saying that if you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. Or, in this case, sell your soul to the Tea Party and they’re gonna haunt you for the rest of your career. Hope y’all think it was worth it!

I’m hoping Boehner, DeMint, Newt, McCain and McConnell fall right in behind her (not to mention Bachman, Vitter and Saxby).

Please feel free to add your own obstructionist, mouthy, ignorant representative.

  9. nswfm says:

Sarah’s ghostwriter got away with writing complete BS, so why shouldn’t former President GWB?

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/12/george-bush-book-decision-points_n_782731.html#s180908

I had a guy working for me in NYC who was at Harvard in the same MBA class as GWB who said GWB “really is as dumb as you think he is.” This was when we went to lunch in 2003, after invading Iraq.

  10. Baker's Dozen says:

Sarah pans everything that comes up. I mean, seriously, what does she like?
Here’s a list off the top of my head:

    She likes:
    being the center of attention
telling the press she doesn’t want to be the center of attention
telling the press to leave her kids alone
dragging her family into the spotlight
complaining that the neighbors spy on her
    spying on the neighbor
leaving religious groups to fill the role of government when governor
offering token fixes and compassion–like cookies
jetting around at other people’s expense
giving the same speech over and over
    passing off rhetoric as policy
    considering abortion as an option
denying other women the right to consider abortion

Has she actually done anything constructive at all for all that money–improved the tone in Washington, hit a baseball out of the park, made a really good movie or theatre or TV show, donated to worthy causes to make people’s lives better? Anything?

    • bubbles says:

nope. she hasn’t done a damned thing. she has done nuthin’ for nobody nowhere, nohow and ‘noway….however this IS one good thing she done. she done created a virtual family here on the flats by making that AKM and her Mudpups go to war against bad politicians and their ignorant enablers. that is a good thing.

    • OMG says:

      Well put.

    Who is happiest? Iphone app.

Maybe this explains the tea party. We all know most of them let their minds wander in school. Lord knows they didn’t learn how Alaska has, uh, moved over the eons.

And it has a lovely picture of a very happy Alaskan couple.

  13. bubbles says:

David Kernell was sentence today. this in from Knoxville News Sentinel:

KNOXVILLE – A federal judge today ordered a former University of Tennessee student who snooped through Sarah Palin’s private e-mail account in 2008 to serve a year and a day for his crime and recommended that his time be served at a Knoxville halfway house.

    • tigerwine says:

Hi, Bubbs! I don’t condone what he did, but it really frosts me when I think of what SP’s daughter told the court about how isolated her home was, and how scared she was. When the photos they took of Joe Mc on his porch hit the internet, I wonder how they felt?

BTW, why do you suppose, it took so long to pass a sentence?

      • bubbles says:

i am wondering why it took so long also. seems there is one law for some folks and another law for others. Hmm-mmm reminds me of the old days. you know. the days some people want to see come back.

    • leenie17 says:

So, does anyone know if she’s been furiously tweeting today about how terrible it is that the kid didn’t get a life sentence of hard labor?

Of course, it WOULD be rather hypocritical since she’s been on the other end of the hacking process herself and never paid any kind of penalty. Oops, I forgot that the rules apply to everyone EXCEPT her. So sorry!

    • jojobo1 says:

I saw that and wondered why palin did not get in trouble for doing the same to Randy and why Miller hasn’t for going in others computers.

  14. Moose Pucky says:

    Beautiful sunset. Beautifully reflected.

  15. OMG says:

Another conservative columnist destroys Palin’s Reagan wanna be image:

    http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/wehner/381104

    • jojobo1 says:

As I keep saying if only Nancy Reagan would come out and say something similar. That palin is no Ronald Reagan no where near what the man was.The man could talk toothers without being nastyl ike she is. Personally I thought the media let palin get away with too much. I don’t think they went after her enough.

  16. Jerry G says:

HuffPo has some clips (but he was on throughout the show):
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/12/30-rock-tea-party_n_782691.html

I love that it wasn’t just an O’Donnell/Angle/Palin caricature; a send-up of the whole movement rather than an individual!

  17. Jerry G says:

Hope folks saw the HILARIOUS tea party candidate as a major character on “30 Rock” last night!

  18. bubbles says:

    PoliticusUSA- by Jason Easley:

Poor Glenn Beck can’t stop being bested by Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. First, Colbert and Stewart blew Beck’s rally on the National Mall out of the water with the Rally to Restore Sanity, and now they are beating Beck in Time magazine’s reader poll for 2010 person of the year.
    **********************************************************************************************************************
people keep asking ” what was the point of the rally?”well, to paraphrase Richard Pryor as the beloved Mudbone………….”The Point is there is no point”
i was there along with 250,000 other people to show the world that Americans are not all crazy and/or stupid and that we are in fact a rather nice bunch who know how throw a party all over the country.

    Magnificent!!!

  20. silvermoon says:

Haven’t been here in a LONG while. Love all the changes. Wanted to get the Alaska take on the Palin/Miller fiasco. Keep up the good work; you all have lots of support ‘down below”.

  21. OMG says:

I may be late to the party (since I’ve been away for a while) and this article might already have been posted, but it is another example of republicans coming forward to take back their party from Palin:

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/brad-wilmouth/2010/11/11/gop-strategist-mark-mckinnon-sarah-palin-cost-republicans-leadership-

“Who is this woman, this fruit bat in fleece and Gore-Tex, clenching the side of the rock face above a glacier, screaming, ‘Tahhd! Tahhd!’ at her husband, piercing the tranquility of the Alaskan paradise?”

“Isn’t this the kind of person whom forest rangers usually despise? The one whose loud command to heed the bears actually startles the bears? The hapless camper whom taxpayers have to rescue at great expense after she loses her Verizon. signal and gets hopelessly disoriented?”

Lovely sunset, AKM. Occasionally, we get sunsets where the sun is the color of Mercurochrome. I’m surprised Joe Barton doesn’t think the sun goes around the earth. I’m not surprised that Sarah can’t shoot; she can’t do anything but screech and grift.

  25. jimzmum says:

So, so beautiful. Thank you for sharing that sunset!

  26. dreamgirl says:

Wow, beautiful. Lucky AKM and fellow Alaskans who got to see that one. I used to see lovely sunsets when I lived in Texas. We spent every weekend in Galveston and the colors were unbelievable… pinks, lavender, orange. My mom took many pictures of the most spectacular ones too also.

(((Hugs)))) to the Gulf and all her water-thingys and swimmy critters , hope Mother Nature can heal itself from the BP oil disaster. To a speedy recovery.

  27. bubbles says:

    gorgeous….thanks AKM

  28. Having watched “Ignorance is Bliss” first and being stunned that this man is going to be in charge of this committee, it was nice to be stunned by beauty.

    Stunning photo.

“Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin’s ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, spilled the beans in an interview with Vanity Fair in September 2009, but no one took him terribly seriously then – sour grapes and all that. But Palin’s new TLC reality show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, may just finally expose her: Guy Adams, The Independent’s Foreign Desk blogger, examined the trailers for the new show and several scenes that seem to show Palin having no idea how to handle herself around a fishing rod or a shotgun. “She looks, to me, like a woman who is completely inexperienced at fishing, shooting, using a boat, rock-climbing, moutnaineering, and all the other folksy pursuits she’s supposed to have mastered years ago,” Adams claimed.”

    http://www.periscopepost.com/2010/11/sarah-palin-cant-shoot/

She sure can shoot her mouth off though and also too. 🙂

    • tigerwine says:

Hey, Irish! I got a call from my son in Fairbanks yesterday. Of course we had to go over the recent Miller/Palin absurdities, and I got a kick out of what folks up there are saying about SP’s reality show. Evidently they wonder where her Alaska is – it’s nothing like the life they live. No float planes, expensive boats, ATV’s, etc. Heck, they say, we are lucky if while we scoop our fish out of the river, we don’t fall in! That’s the kind of folks I knew up there.

I still can’t get over the part where she is rock climbing, and has no gloves on. Who would go rock climbing in snow and ice with no gloves and perfectly manicured hands??!!

      • Baker's Dozen says:

Like the old Hollywood movies where the starlet gets out of bed perfectly coiffed, make-up immaculate, and not a wrinkle in the silk pajamas!

    • Bretta says:

$PayMe was too busy parenting the quiverfull of grandchildren, doncha know? You Betcha that will be her response – long with lots of snarky word salad – to this critic; $he won’t let it go by like dead fish.

      Thanks for that link!
