Apologize if someone else has posted this, but in the beginning of the show, one guy describes this animal as “1/2 a ton of hairy mad cow,” so of course I thought of the Grifter Granny. They also mentioned “grizzlies inbreeding”, but truly an interesting show, all snark aside.
DH Happy came across this on Daily Kos and I just had to share. I like to ride my bicycle…but this guy has mad skills.

Enjoy! (What a way to go home!)
I can’t say this enough. No matter who you are or what you do, SHE IS NOT US.
Sarah and Lisa have something in common with that writing on the hand thing to remind one of what is important in politics.
Twelve teabag losers?
Will tomorrow bring “Twelve Gooolden Gates…”? Looking forward to tomorrow’s new lyric (is that the right word?). It’s like opening up a wonderful gift. Thank you AKM for all your gifts to us.
I nominate “12 Cookies Flying” or some such version…was thinking about magizine covers, – heard that she’s been on more zine covers than any other person this year….
Good ‘ole lame stream media… those good ‘ole boys/titans of corporate industry can’t seem to stop their Palin-poster”girl”-*orn. Revolting brain washing-whitewashing attempt of the biggest pox on humanity since the black plague (and our new pox on new TSA screening perverts).
My family will be home tomorrow to help celebrate our love and joy for each other at this beautiful time of the year!! I’m all excited!! Merry Christmas and a Happy Newyear to all the Mudpups and their families!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy 2011 to President Obama, fabulous & gracious FIrst Lady Michelle and wonderful first daughters Sasha and Malia! Thank you for all that you do to make us PROUD. And thank you for continuing to ignoring all that screeching you hear from the general direction of Alaska! It’s just some clapped out dingbat =D
Keep doing what we voted for you for, Mr. President! And congratulations on repealing DADT, the 9/11 first responders health care bill, the food safety bill and the START treaty – some people (read: Sarah Palin) pretend to work hard and makes sure everyone is looking while they pretend, others like yourself get things done quietly and without fuss. Cheers!
I’ll happily drink to that, much later, though!
lovely. and a happy, peaceable Christmas to you AussieGal. hoping you and yours are well. miss you darlin’.
Happy holidays Aussie! Cheers and goodwill to all.
I’ll raise my glass later when I go to my favorite French bistro (La Sardine for those in Chicago!) to all the wonderful Mudpups and especially AKM for her generosity of spirit in creating such a wonderful site.
I feel blessed knowing there are Mudpups in this world. (gonna have a weep)

Hey AKM & Mudpups – I wanted to wish everyone a lovely Christmas and I hope you all enjoy the holiday season with friends, family and loved ones.
I’m loving the 12 Days of Palin! I’ve finally decided that she is just going to self destruct and we all just have to stand well back and watch it happen. But keep reminding everyone just how unfit she is for the Presidency or any other public office!
Love lots and hugs!
aussiegal
good to hear from you, aussiegal, and happy Christmas to you and yours š
Eleven hands a-cheating, ten Pipers peeping . . . . . this is great! Have you ever considered setting it to music?
Yesterday I finally got this book that I ordered ages ago. I thought of my mudfriends when I was reading it, how many of us need to read the book and take the lesson that it shares to heart.
Click on this link to check it out, but buy through Mudflats’ Amazon link so that she gets her piece:

So many ways that people can be and are beautiful on the inside. There’s a wonderful story about a man with AIDS, others about an Episcopalian priest in Houston, many strong women, and beautiful photos. While reading I thought of the many many women in my life that would love to have it, it will be my go-to girlfriend gift for the indefinite future. It’s beautiful enough to keep on the coffee table (if you have one), but touches the soul in a way that, if I didn’t want every visitor to our house to see it instead, makes it one of the few books that have a place of honor in my bedroom for soul-nurturing.
Palin uses Wikileaks for op-ed:

Sarah a hypocrite?! I never saw that coming.
=D
Hahaha… she’s about as subtle as a whale in a goldfish bowl.
good one!

by Sarah Palin
Pictures by Todd Palin, uh, nope, John McCain
Have I told you how smart you are? Well, of course not, ācause it isnāt important. Whatās important is that you are baptized into the right church where Reverend Muthee is because the one thing African people can do is cast out demons and John McCain wasnāt never baptized into the right church but heās doinā the pictures for this book so that means G– is openin a door for him and you can be like him and send money to SarahPAC because thatās how G– opens my doors and then youāll be saved and have doors open for you, like doors to work at McDonaldās or doors to the Arizona jails ācause you have an accent unlike me ācause I talk like a rill Umerikun and open doors on hand writinā which I donāt do myself those are messages from G– He put there himself ācause He wants me to lift the countryās spirits, so I did at the alcohol and spirit convention ācause good Krischens arenāt supposed to drink but makinā money offa it by makinā a canned speech is OK.
Well, I still havenāt told you how smart you are, and thatās ācause, after baptism, the most important thing for beinā a rill Umerikun is your looks if youāre a girl and lookinā at me if youāre a boy. You can be like Heidi Fleiss and use your looks and talents to attract men to make a bucket load of money and gain fame also too and also it helps support capitalism through commonsense push up bras and how important they are to growinā the economy and silicon implants donāt hurt growinā either and wearinā too much makeup like a workinā girl is also too good ācause then you donāt have to say nuthinā that makes sense ācause the guys arenāt listeninā anyway and all the wimin that want to control their men are envious and want you to win so you can control their men for them and the picture John drew here the publisher says he canāt sell this as a childrenās book any more but there is room in the market for a book for the more mature audience with pictures and John is too mavricky, puttinā a picture of a brand on my . . . Oh. Iām outta space on this page? Well, on to Chuck Norris ācause youāre a rill Umerikun heeero if you can play one on Tee Vee like Bristol and next time she can dance with Chuck Norris or Heath either one they both kowtow to me and sheāll win rill big over those haters with talent ācause rill Umerikuns donāt need talent . . . . . .
Brilliant!! LOL.
i love the woman and i sent her an e-mail telling her that. she is a wonderful senator and i would love to see her in the White House some day. she is a keeper.
Here’s a great article about NY’s junior Senator, Kirsten Gillibrand:

If not for her work, it’s likely the repeal of DADT wouldn’t have happened.
so lovely to have a fine female political leader we can stand with and look up to, also, too
Books-We don’t need no stinking books. Up here in the frozen waste of America’s bowels, all the small bookstores are closed down and gone. The closest town that has bookstores is Sioux City, about a two hour drive, and longer if you take the tractor or combine, from my place. No I can’t see them Commies in Sioux City from my place.
How sad. Yes, there is Amazon.com, but a town without a bookstore is missing something special.
If I get to right spot in Sioux City I can straddle Iowa,Nebraska and South Dakota at the same time. Take that Sister Quittypants. I challenge you to a state straddling contest and the loser has to leave the national spotlight forever.
And if I go to the Observation Deck in the Empire State Building (less than 2 miles from home), on a clear day I can see five states! Take that, (not-so-grand)mama grizzled!
Oooo, Mike, you would like our Title Wave Bookstore.
Thousands of books & music & videos, new and used. Crazy fun gifts, too.
My kids and I spent many a happy hour there – there’s even a coffee shop next door.
Books With A Past (Glenwood), Cricket Book Shop (Ashton), A Likely Story (Sykesville), Politics and Prose (DC), Second Story Books (Silver Spring), etc.
Come east, young man!
But Mike, please tell me you at least have a good public library…I cannot imagine a life without books…
Today’s Democracy Now noted that Lisa Murkowski was the only Republican Senator that voted for ALL four of the recent Obama bills. How do you spell M-a-v-e-r-i-c-k, Sarah?
i have feeling that Lisa M found out who her friends are when she lost the primary. i have a feeling that Lisa found out that she couldn’t get her old buddies on the phone and that she was a nobody to them.
she had a hard lesson to learn. i hope it was a lesson she will never forget. now she knows what it is like to be abandoned and powerless. perhaps she took a step back mentally and saw how much harm her party has done and how it has been hi-jacked by the stupid, by the ignorant; and by the teabagging jackasses. at any rate, i think Alaska might have itself two decent senators in DC. we will be watching to see what she does in the coming years. meanwhile, i thank Lisa Murkowski for standing up and doing the right thing and supporting the president’s agenda on these four issues. thanks London Bridge.
One of my new year’s resolutions is to keep on LM to stay accountable to us. No more tolerating the lockstep with the extreme-right fanatics in Congress.
Dems voted for her too and I guess she knows that. On the other hand, the American people agree with her votes according to polling, 77% on repeal of DADT, so kudos!!
It was amazing to see the turn around in Lisa M. But I’m still not sure she can be trusted. We’ll have to wait and see what she does come January and the new Congress.
yes Pat. we got to keep our puppy eyes on her. she might backslide all the way to the right like before.
After she got her tax breaks for millionaires, and after she takes care of her corporations (and missile defense industry), she’s pretty easy on the other stuff. I mean, how hard is it, to do the right thing sometimes?
true that, Moose Pucky, but I’ll giver her credit for baby steps in the right, er, left(?) direction…
Oh, I love today’s! I am going to miss the heck out of these. Maybe you could just think a little about perhaps maybe what if you did a 365 days of Palin. Shoo, you could do a new one every year for a decade on what has gone on just this year alone.
Thank you for sharing these.
Off to the grocery, then home to bake. House full of family expected by evening! We can’t wait! This house gets too quiet w/o children racketing around.
I’m pretty sure there are enough stupid quotes out there for someone to make a “Palin-a-Day” calendar. But honestly, by March most people would probably want to kill themselves than continue to live like that.
At Barnes and Noble they have a Sarah Palin calendar. I had to pick it up to see what it was and it is a satirical one. It made me laugh, but I couldn’t stand to see her picture every day of the year. Here and on the news is just about as much as I can take of the quitter queen.
This has been wonderful….will be sorry to get to #12. Kudos for a job well done ! I am hard pressed to choose a favorite.
I was at two bookstores yesterday and spent some time happily flipping over herself’s books so that she was facing downward. It is the little things that give great pleasure……………
AKM,
Thank you for your wit and hilarity in this Festivus Season~thank you as well for this blog – I find this to be a “relaxing and fun” place to spend my time.
To all Mudpups,
Happy Holidays to each and every one of you and thank you for allowing me to join your party!

Atta girl Attagirl!
My efforts at Costco were thwarted when I came upon a small stack of Dr. Seuss-esque books left on top of the Queen Twitter’s book pile. Had I stumbled upon an attempt to obscure these ratty things, I wondered? So, to try and help, I rather nonchalantly unstacked the kids books to cover more of the Queen’s pitiful tomes (that are now at 66 on the Amazon bestsellers list, BTW). Unfortunately, a bald-headed fellow followed me and moved the kids books back where they belonged. He picked up her book and looked at it for quite a while, but he didn’t put it in his cart. I suspect he’s already read it.
The local library had no waiting list for the book. That picture on the back of the book of Ma and Pa Kettle is a hoot.
Good job on the monkey-wrenching. Flipping those ‘books’ upside-down and backwards is one of my favorite things to do, too.
Vandals ! Hooligans ! š I’m in the company of Senior Citizen juvenile delinquents !!! š
How can you tell what is upside down or backwards?
Hayduke would be proud!
Littlebird and I “buried” 4 piles of whatzername’s books under short stacks of assorted other tomes at a local store yesterday. (Littlebird rolling her eyes, but indulging me anyway.) That cover photo gives me the heebie-jeebies, so I was happy I didn’t have to actually touch her “books.”
*shudder*
and *giggle* also, too
(One advantage of being Jewish is that I don’t have to think about landing on Santa’s Naughty List!) š
i’m so glad i’m not the only one…in the supermarket with my son yesterday i flipped over and upside down sowah’s book and right next to it, gw’s. my 27-year-old son told me i’m immature, and i said, that did my heart good. hehe
