Open Thread – Moore Up North Premiere (Season 3)
Those of you who have been suffering Moore Up North withdrawal, be sure to tune in Sunday at 3pm on KYUR Channel 13 for the premiere of Season 3! Shannyn’s panelists this week are Senator Bill Wielechowski, Craig Medred of the Alaska Dispatch, and Tom Brennan of the Anchorage Daily Planet. The interview is with David Linck, the Unit Publicist for the film Frozen Ground with John Cusack and Nicholas Cage which is currently filming in Anchorage.
Don’t miss the fun!

Woops my bad. Well maybe-ADN did not have it in the TV line up and KYUR did not have it on their web site either.
Nonetheless, I watched it on KYUR.
Sad that only Anchorage gets it. I hope it ends up on youtube or something.

Don’t look like Potemkin villags to me!
At this point her show is not showing up on Dish local index for the day. I marked it anyway with the hope it is just mislabelled.
Talking is good.
and so is listening.
and taking time to ponder, to reflect, to think, also, too.
Then it’s time to roll up our sleeves
and channel our inner superheroes
and make a difference in our communities.

I must have missed the press release for the 700 foot high,4.5 billion dollar Susitna River dam that is to be built in Alaska. The largest dam to be built in the U.S. in a number of years. How did I miss the discussion on this project? I just read about it in an article talking about states with budget surpluses.
It’s another one of those pipe dreams that has been kicked around for the last 30 years. Don’t expect to see it anytime soon. There was a huge natural gas discovery made this week just 30 miles from Anchorage. That ought to nail shut the Big Su hydro project for a while.
Go Shannyn! I always enjoy the show.
