Open Thread – Netroots Nation

Greetings, Mudflatters! I write to you from 29,000 feet in the air, somewhere over the midwest. Shannyn and I are heading to Providence by way of Boston, and Linda is holding down the fort at home.

Sadly, I had to catch a plane just as Schaeffer Cox was taking the stand in his own defense at the militia trial today. And double sadly, both Shannyn and I missed the EPA hearing on Pebble Mine this evening. Tickets were bought long ago, and who could have predicted our incredibly bad timing.

But, all that behind us, I will be posting of our adventures at Netroots Nation, the largest gathering of the progressive online community. This will be our fourth time attending. First, Pittsburgh, then Las Vegas, then Minneapolis and now Providence. As always, Brian is along for the ride. You never know who he’ll run into.

I’ve also got quite a bit yet to post about the trial, so you’ll be getting a few more posts about that as I clean up my notes and sketches.

So stay tuned for reports from the front. I always feel like I’m taking you all along for the ride.

Okay, i’m about to give up. How do we click on, get into an article. I don’t like this new format.
I’ve clicked on all parts of all the things I think will get me to an article, and NADA.
What shows up on my screen are mulitple type overs. Please fix.

Enjoy your weekend at Netroots Nation, Jeanne and Shannyn!

I voted this morning in Los Angeles and swear that no one heard me laugh/snort/chortle when I saw Orly Taitz’s name on the primary ballot for US Senate.

Ditto. Also, too- recall Walker, go Wisconsin! Have a great time. AKM and Shannon.

I do like the new look, but it takes a little while for the type to clear when I use my iPad… it looks like several lines are on top of each other. 🙁

Though belated, may I just say that I really like the new layout. Nicely done !

I’m with Merrycricket – Happy Recall Day to everyone in WI. I hope it turns out well. Waiting on results with you all. Good luck !

Have a wonderful time! I am looking forward to your posts.

Happy Recall Scott Walker Day to all you mudpups in Wisconsin. Good luck! I will be repairing my outdoor water spigot today. The old thing has finally bit the dust and if I am successful at this endeavor, my chore list will include buying a new pool for the dogs and giving the big stinkers a royal bath. Have a lovely day all.

Well the plumbing job is at a standstill. 🙁 actually I have an iron pipe that just plain refuses to budge, even with two pipe wrenches. So, I decided to deal with my slow leaking tire instead. Turns out my rim had a big rust blister on it and I got to go to the junk yard to retrieve a rim without rust. Tomorrow is out so, Thursday may be the new plumbing day.
