Meet My Secret Twin

(Crossposted at Monologues of Dissent)

by Jeanne Devon & Heather Dubois Bourenane

I’m a progressive working mom with two kids.

My state had a very regrettable governor foisted upon it.

I decided to speak out and started a blog.

Soon our regrettable governor became infamous, and national news outlets began calling me.

I suddenly found myself on the pages of The New Yorker, The Huffington Post & interviewed by Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz.

I still find it stunning that anyone would consider our governor for a Presidential ticket.

It’s cool that, through social media, I’ve found someone just like me.

Solidarity.

Jeanne in Alaska

Gabby Giffords Chief of Staff was elected to take her place in the Arizona Southern District. I miss Gabby but its nice to see another Democrat take this place.

Here’s two women paying attention. I love the energy., and the “muddy tee”.

    Love this:

Raise your hand if you’re not afraid to ask a question.
Raise your voice if you’re not afraid of free speech.
Raise some hell if you’re not afraid to change the world.

    Just bookmarked Monologues of Dissent.

Soulmates indeed. Glad to meet you, Heather. Keep up the good work.

AKM, you look so cute with that netbook! And Heather looks great in that muddy tee.

Maybe she meant Sarah Palin but Parnell was foisted on us too even though he was formally elected to my dismay in the last election.

    • Alaska Pi says:

Yup- talking about whatzername, though the half pack 1st term of Mr Parnell fits too.
(2nd term/full term Parnell is what we got when folks thought no -drama translated as doing a good job .)
And quite frankly- the talk about Walker as a VP type is as bad or worse than the whatzername situation was. Mr Walker’s camouflage is a bit sturdier , so far, than hers was.
Good blog, Ms Dubois Bourenane- had run across it looking for something about recall shortly before the vote.

How was Sean Parnell “foisted” upon you?

If you don’t say why the folks on the other side will clobber you. Just say’n cause I’m here too.

      Isn’t this poster from Wisconsin?

    • Happy Place says:

I think the two bloggers who coauthored this have an uncanny amount in common, and are comparing their experience with Walker & Palin. šŸ˜‰

I vote this comment as “Mudflats Dumb Comment” of the Year 2012

    • CityKid says:

I stand corrected. But still, Walker was elected, though he told a bunch of lies to get the votes. Sorry for MY confusion.
