Senator Palin?

5528398677_0081730cde

This message, sent to a select group of Tea Party Leadership Fund email subscribers leads off with a subject line that asks:

Do the words “Senator Sarah Palin” excite you?

Let’s pause for a moment, and look something up.

ex·cite [ik-sahyt]
verb (used with object), ex·cit·ed, ex·cit·ing.
1. to arouse or stir up the emotions or feelings of: to excite a person to anger; actions that excited his father’s wrath.
2. to arouse or stir up (emotions or feelings): to excite jealousy or hatred.
3. to cause; awaken: to excite interest or curiosity.
4. to stir to action; provoke or stir up: to excite a dog by baiting him.
5. Physiology . to stimulate: to excite a nerve.

Well, Mr. Todd Ceraratti of the Tea Party Leadership Fund (TPLF), the answer is yes. Yes, I am very excited by the thought of “Senator Sarah Palin.”  My excitement runneth over. Number 4, in particular, comes to mind – me being the dog.

The TPLF is based in Washington, D.C. and spent nearly $1 million during the 2012 election cycle.

“The Tea Party Leadership Fund is the latest Outside special interest group trying to buy Alaska’s Senate seat.  We need to defend Alaska’s resources, civil rights, and traditional values, not sell them to Outside interests like the Tea Party,” said Mike Wenstrup, Chair of the Alaska Democratic Party.

Here’s the email.

Do the words “Senator Sarah Palin” excite you?

If we do our job, they could become reality.

You see, recent polling in the 2014 Alaska U.S. Senate Race shows incumbent Democrat Senator Mark Begich with less than 50% of the vote, and a clear path for Sarah to win. This means the only thing that is standing in her way is deciding to run, and that’s why we’re launching a petition today to draft her for the Republican nomination.

Right off the bat it implies she’d be running in Alaska, instead of Arizona. I think there’s a case against that. But let’s just say, for argument’s sake, that she still lives in her lakeside abode on the shores of Lake Lu-sill, and not in the bazillion dollar stone fort in Scottsdale.

Let’s look at the most recent poll results.

According to Public Policy Polling, In a head to heat matchup, Mark Begich leads the ex-half-governor by 47% to 40%. And yes, that means that 13% of Alaskans out there just can’t quite figure out which of those two they’d rather have in the senate. It’s kind of a tossup, apparently, them being so alike and all.

Begich had a clear lead in that poll. Nevertheless, with the short memories of human beings, 40% for Palin is far more than the Cheney-esque approval ratings she had a couple years ago. According to PPP, Begich’s numbers recently took a hit because of his vote to keep the Senate from dealing with gun measures, including background checks. But despite the political injury from his base, it’s not like anyone thinks Sarah Palin is on the opposite side of that debate.

But back to our nice letter.

You and I both know that Sarah Palin is a fighter who will stand up to Harry Reid and his pals in the Senate to protect our Constitution on issues like amnesty, gun control, and our nation’s crushing debt. We know that, with Sarah in the Senate, conservatives across America can rest a little easier at night knowing that she’s at the watch.

That’s why it’s so important that you join with me in signing our petition to draft Sarah Palin for Alaska’s U.S. Senate seat.

As Karl Rove and the “Republican” campaign establishment prepare to spend hundreds of millions defeating the Tea Party in primaries next fall, campaign insiders know what they’re really afraid of–they’re not afraid of gaffes, they’re not afraid of weak candidates, and they’re not afraid of losing.

“Republican?”  Yes, the right wing is so divided against itself, that even Karl Rove gets the quotation marks. The Party of division now has to deal with its own Frankenstein. Who is also a cannibal. Good luck with that.

They’re afraid of those who stand up for our liberties;
of those who stand up when everyone else sits down;
of those who refuse to water down our Constitution with the “Democrat lite” message currently curried by the establishment.

Basically, they’re afraid of Sarah Palin.

That last line is fair. They’re probably also afraid of black widow spiders, dilapidated roller coasters, and fast cars driven by blind people.

At this year’s CPAC, Sarah knew this and took it to heart, rejecting the establishment and imploring all Tea Party Americans to stick to our guns and support the candidates who truly embrace our first principles. Even when it was unpopular, Sarah supported true patriots like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, and now it’s time that we throw our support behind her.

That’s why I need you to sign our petition today to draft Sarah to run in the upcoming U.S. Senate race in Alaska. Will you visit this link and join me in signing it?

When you think about it, Senator Sarah Palin just makes sense.

Who would be better to stand up, simultaneously, to the hyper-liberal arrogance of Harry Reid and the cool indifference of the establishment to our values? Who would be better to stand arm-in-arm with Ted Cruz and Rand Paul in defense of our Constitution?

The answer, of course, is Sarah, the proven Maverick who stood up to the special interests in Alaska and has been a tireless advocate for our Tea Party values ever since her introduction to the national stage.

And by “special interests in Alaska,” we can presume they speak of the oil industry, and her signature oil tax legislation, ACES. You know, the one that her Lt. Governor who now sits in her old office is dismantling with the help of her former cohorts in the legislature – the Tea Party ones and all? And let’s hear what Palin has had to say, defending her legacy, and standing against those special interests.

[insert crickets here]

The establishment declared war against the Tea Party long ago, and election day is only getting closer. It’s 100% crystal clear that Karl Rove and his loser buddies will stop at nothing to make sure we lose.

Let’s show them we’re serious about fighting back by drafting Sarah Palin. Visit this link and sign our petition today.

Sincerely,

Todd Cefaratti

She’d have to work her assclown off to not win that seat.

  2. By the People for the People says:

We will re-elect Murkowski just to piss Palin and Parnell off…I mean wasn’t it her father who was called all these names for standing up to Big Oil and saying no to them like a teacher to children in a class according to an interview with an aide sometime back?
Now we got Captain Zero giving the Big Oil our money in tax breaks that Frank wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole…Alaskans should take the same measures for this silly Sarah attempt at attention she really doesn’t need…she and Sean have upcoming trials in Geneva this summer to address abuse of power and embezzlement of funds…failure to notify…failure to report…abuse of power…abuse of ethics…failure to protect…
Check out http://www.malialitman.wordpress.com and you will find many things to ask Sarah about if she runs…and Sean for that matter “choose respect” yeah…did you choose that when pocketing that money Sean?

  3. Good Luck with all that! says:

Let her run…those with all those pesky questions like on Malia Litman’s Blog that ask about that prostitution ring of Todds or that designer meth drug running to Russia…and don’t forget the human trafficking now…
Then we got crimes committed in Alaska that seem to get “swept under the rug” and cover up struggles begin..
Now remember who said what…keep the story straight for God sakes…lol…no Palin is Pathetic…and drugged up on Adderal and wobbling around like a drunken sailor…that USE to work for politicking…but not so much anymore…voters want new blood and they are willing to train…must be college graduate…smirk…we will prevail!

  4. Winski says:

So let’s explore a touch of history… Elected to a FOUR YEAR term as Alaska’s Governer…. Couldn’t make it half way thru that term… TOO HARD… So, the Pee-Baggers are proposing to send her to DC to be part of a REAL political knife fight ??

She’d last maybe a year and come back to Alaska sliced in various places and 20 years older…. Knowing how good at recruiting a wide swath of people with highly varied opinions (NOT) she is, her success will be boundless… That’s why she’d resign after one year having accomplished everything possible that can be done as a Senator…. She’s the laughing stock of the nation now… She want more?

  5. mike from iowa says:

Wasn’t this Palin’s distant(and disturbed) cousin Sarapatrick Henry-Palin the Revolutionary War hero who uttered the patriotic phrase-“Give me liberty or give me death, but, personally I’d prefer victimhood.” And later was quoted as wondering,”Does this blue tri-corn clash with my red, naughty monkey pumps and do they make me look fat?”

    • Wugmump says:

She could be like Paul Revere and ride her bus through the night sending out Liberty Tweets to the British that the liberals were coming to take away their first amendment rights to keep and bear their second amendment solutions! Yay! Murrica!

Here’s another humdinger of a race being fought, but too funny to pass up:

Larry Flynt Endorses Mark Sanford, ‘America’s Great Sex Pioneer’
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/30/larry-flynt-mark-sanford_n_3189201.html?ref=topbar

With one week to go before South Carolinians choose their pick for the 1st District seat in Congress, Hustler magazine publisher and founder Larry Flynt made his selection.

In a video posted on Hustler’s official YouTube account Tuesday, Flynt endorsed former Gov. Mark Sanford (R), lauding his efforts to expose the U.S.’ “sexual hypocrisy.”

“Mark Sanford has demonstrated by his words and deeds that traditional values are shameful and that he will not live by such rules,” Flynt said. “His open embrace of his mistress in the name of love, breaking his sacred marriage vows, was an act of bravery that has drawn my support.” –snipped–

    – – –
My Sis read on her Facebook page that a lot of conservative family values folks in SC are having conniption fits over this. That their state is being further embarrassed, made a laughingstock by the “Loveeeeee Guvvvvv”.

ETA: One point I read from a returning soldier from Iraq. He said that if HE had taken off for days like Sanford, nobody knowing where he was – HE would have been facing a court martial!

      And not a quitter.

Oh, how I love, Love, LOVE that paragraph! To me, it summarizes the Tea Party (and its member’s thought processes/world view) to a “T”,,, with a CAPITAL T!

Yeah, that’s exactly how I see our dear Partiers — “protect our Constitution”… protecting it for all they’re worth! Protecting it down to their last dime and their last breath; protecting it, literally and figuratively, for all they’re worth!

I don’t think it’s ever occurred to them, though, that they’ve got their priorities all backasswards. That they’re “protecting” ONLY themselves when they specifically and exclusively set about to “protect our Constitution”. It seems to irritate the heck out of them that there are others in our Nation who’re not down with that; not on the same page as they are. Others in our Nation, sensible, logical people, who insist on *protecting* all citizens by *defending* our Constitution… from the likes of them; others in our Nation who understand that unless All our citizens are protected BY the Constitution, then the Constitution isn’t worth the paper its written on.

It’ll be interesting to see how long $arah strings these TP-folks along, this time. How long she’ll tease them. How much she’ll milk them for. I look forward to watching all of that. It’ll, again, be most popcorn-worthy. What I’m NOT looking forward to, is the ugly she’ll spew and watching the havoc all the poison she’ll plant and get a’-roiling with that spewing, take hold.

Bottom line: IMHO, she is a dangerous, dangerous woman. beth.

    Senator Assclown?

  10. LA Brian says:

Oh, please let this happen! The compost heap could use another cycle of word salad to offset the basic BS she’s been producing since she left office.

    • Beaglemom says:

I personally do not want Sarah Palin anywhere near Washington D.C. Her IQ will bring the average Republican Senate IQ to the below zero range. Besides, Sarah Palin is way too lazy to be able to tolerate the job – even for a Republican.

    Oh HELL no!

  12. Ripley in CT says:

    *shudder*

  13. Carol says:

Excited? Yes! Enough excitement to make me want to hurl! But I doubt she’ll run, that’s too much work and if she won, well, that would be W A Y too much work. and she’s have to tell people how much money she’s raking in from the gullibles. Okay, romney didn’t set a good example there, but can you doubt the Alaskan press would be hounding her for tax record release? She is about the money, and fame, not about good governance or work. I have a bet with myself, anyone can get in here. Does she tithe to her church?Whaddya think, anyone?

  14. GoI3ig says:

Even as dim as the electorate is in Alaska, I seriously doubt she could be elected dog catcher.

    • benlomond2 says:

Don’t be so sure…. we ARE talking about Alaska !!!!….

  15. WhichTruth says:

They’ll suck up some $s from the gullible. Let’s see, Joe Miller, Sarah Palin, or Mark Begich? Mark has to be hoping, since they’ll split the crazy vote.

  16. Ice Gal says:

I used to think she would challenge liza murk cow sky for her seat, but that was back before she became a ? tvee star?
If she does run that would be some real hard choices for laskans. What’s her name. tredmeedwell, or beg~itch?

  17. tallimat says:

The Quitter needs to run for Frank the Bank’s kid’s seat. (Around here, we call her FBK.)

Such a thing will be far better than Boy Wonder’s seat.

Ah… I so love Alaska Politics, because who needs their real names when their nick names are so, so, so much better.

Seriously though, this has got to be a joke.
No one can be that clueless.

  18. AKliberal says:

Palin? Really? I thought she moved to Arizona. She could run from there. They don’t have the memory of her half witted half term.

    • Sally says:

Exactly. It eould some pathetic irony of she ran against McCain for HIS seat, wouldn’t it? Whomever would get Madame Leather Skin’s endorsement?

  19. spiritwheel says:

Holy Cow! these idiots are still trying to stick their hands up her skirt! They should know by now that it is more closely related to a piranha than a vagina!

  20. Jim Bishop says:

Do it! Elect her! Then Alaska will replace the South as the sphincter of the U.S.A. What is going on up there?

    • John says:

this isn’t an Alaskan idea! We certainly have plenty of problems, but suggesting that $arah Palin should run for any office? You won’t hear that from very many people up here.
