The Mudflats Endorses Jeff Landfield in the Republican Primary
It’s last-minute classless attack ad time, and lookie what came in the mail! Craig Johnson quoted us and everything. Because Craig Johnson thinks that even we – the godless, tree-huggin’ bunny-smoochin’ libruls believe that he, Craig Johnson, is the better choice for Senate District L.
That would make Craig Johnson WRONG.
While our social style is a little less… freewheeling than Mr. Landfield’s, we have found him to be sincere, hard-working, smart, willing to listen to and consider all sides of an issue, and even downright likeable.
Craig Johnson on the other hand is a humorless, closed-minded, oil guzzlin’ blowhard. As the House Rules Chair, and a long time Republican legislator, he’s pretty much the poster boy for “the problem.” He’s helped to craft some of the most irresponsible budgets in recent memory, he’s refused to work across party lines, and even this: During an incident in the Capitol last session, for a few scary minutes there appeared to be an active shooter situation. How did Rules Chair Craig Johnson respond to the threat? He forced Gavel to Gavel to shut off their camera, and booted the media, legislative staffers, citizens in the gallery, and even a young guest page out of the House Chambers, and into the hallway toward what he believed was an active shooter situation. Then he had the doors locked behind them, while the legislators stayed safely barricaded inside. That’s his idea of leadership in dangerous times.
There’s only one thing on Craig Johnson’s flyer that we take to heart.
“Character matters.”
The Mudflats, though we may disagree on some issues, proudly supports Jeff Landfield in the Senate District L Republican primary.
We had fun with Landfield awhile back, showing off in his Speedos. Seems like a real party animal. Too bad it is the wrong party for Alaska and the Universe. Whatever trips your trigger.
Works for me, for sure. Craig Johnson is the personification of the problem: Create a mess and then blame it on someone else.
