Hey Piper….Yes Momma….What do you think I should do next? Once again the “off limits” kids are brought back into the fray, all except the one she threw under the military bus.

  2. oregonbird says:

Discarding the demands of an Alaska job that is at best part-time, undemanding, predictable, banal, means that she will now devote full-time to traveling the “lower 48” in order to speak, speak, speak. Wherever she goes, she is Alaska, moose-hunting, and Wasilla.

So says John Batchelor, over on The Daily Beast. So much for the citizens of Alaska with those banal and undemanding desires for food, fuel, education, work outside the oil fields and the opportunity to reach subsistence levels for the coming winter. I hope that Sean is up to the challenge he’s taking on.

    Best case scenario: Sarah resigns.
Worst case scenario: Sarah strolls in an hour late and says Happy 4th of July.

    Good prediction ds55!

I’m just now getting to read some of the earlier comments because of the heavy site traffic and came across yours before her presser. Best case scenario by a landslide.

House Gate is the best guess since Todd’s buddies “helped’ build the house. I’m in the construction business and high profile clients(especially politicians) except deals, free supplies, materials, upgrades…etc. The Palinn’s behavior pattern would be to take all of the above as their due! The emails that will be coming out will fire her ass and show the world all those christain values she holds so dear….In my mind, it was never a question of her demise…just a matter of when. Imagine a Levi book coming out as well.

Karma will always go around and Sarah time has come where she will reap what she has sown!

Alaskans, don’t back down on holding her feet to the fire as in Celtic Diva, any other legit complaints and especially our country’s beloved and respected Native Alaskan community. The truth still needs to come out and wrongs need to righted.

I will never be able to forgive her for trying to make light of the salmon crisis with her ‘holding a fish’ and ‘dead fish’ remarks in her babble speech. Most of the country didn’t get it but I believe it was a deliberate stab meant to offend and hurt.

AKM – Thank – you, you are an amazing human being. Yes we can and yes we will. God Bless America.

JUSTAFARMER: “my mom in NC saying that she got a letter from Social Security offering condolences and the usual $250 death benefit check…apparently my father died in Florida on June 19 and his ladyfriend couldn’t be bothered to inform the rest of us. My father’s phone has been disconnected and no one has a clue where ladyfriend and assets are.:

Don’t know how it works elsewhere, but I had to go in person to ask for my husband’s death benefit, even though he was on SSDI and they were notified of his death via the funeral home in early May, I never heard from them! I went the other day and had to produce death and marriage certificates and ID. After those were entered, they set up an telephone appointment for me in two weeks to finalize the survivor benefit.

Also, too…. the benefit amount went up $5 to $255 last year… so someone may be messing with your mom…. be careful of the info she gives out, don’t give out checking acct number for direct deposit, request check in mail.

Sorry about your dad, hope you find out what’s really going on soon!

  28. justafarmer says:

Thanks PepperzMom, we searched ALL the Florida newspaper obits…nothing…but oddly enough, I found an obit in Palm Beach for a man with my father’s name, but he died 10 days earlier and was three years older. We’re compiling a list of funeral homes tonight.

  29. justafarmer says:

samper, fawnskin & bubbles…we don’t even know where his body is!
He lived in Barefoot Beach, FL. Sebastian is the nearest big town. Sadly, it’s a holiday weekend, but I found phone numbers for Brevard and Indian Creek Counties. Anyone in Florida, which county office handles death certificates? I’ll check with both counties on Monday.
    Sorry for the OT, AKM!

  31. PepperzMom (GA) says:

justafarmer: (sorry if OT – move to an open thread please if necessary)

My mom passed away in 1/08, in Florida also. What you were told already is a good starting point.

    Here’s some more info:

    1) find the local newspaper’s online website and search the obits. They are usually open for 30 days free of charge….should have some info for you.
    2) contact the county office that issues the death certificates. Should be the Health Dept/office of vital statistics.
    3) contact funeral homes within a 10 mile radius to see if they handled the services.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I think Sarah Palin is on a collision course with something much larger than an iceberg. Whatever it is, it has to be massive for her to step down. Palin reminds me of someone who doesn’t go down without a fight. I already have the popcorn ready and waiting.

  55. Professor Geezer says:

Re: the Palin is not a quitter meme, I would say AKM has long ago showed us otherwise.

Palin quit a lot of colleges, didn’t she? Palin quit her AK Oil and Gas commission gig, didn’t she? She quit a few speaking gigs this year (and then turned up anyway?), didn’t she? And now she has quit being a Governor.

A Romney, Huckabee (et al), opposition research person could make a much longer list than this, I’ll wager.

Guess she was a month ‘overdue’ !

  59. JHop says:

    According to the Brad Blog:

FURTHER UPDATE: Okay, I’ve now been able to get independent information from multiple sources that all of this precedes what are said to be possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin’s house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure as Mayor. Both structures, it is said, feature the “same windows, same wood, same products.” Federal investigators have been looking into this for some time, and indictments could be imminent, according to the Alaska sources.

Most recently, she has seen a crash in fundraising efforts. Last week, the Palin shrine, Conservatives4Palin, concluded a weeklong effort to raise $500,000 for Palin’s legal bils, having reached only 21% of their goal.

Alaska Report – with due and deserved respect and courtesy, please, no more “stay tuned” stuff. If you know something, say it. If you don’t, then just please wait.

The timing. Hmmm. She says this was planned and discussed.
Todd flew back from Bristol Bay fishing LAST NIGHT. The peak of the season is July 4, with the volume of the run of salmon for the entire season, the first week of July. It’s over by July 15.
So he flew back last night, during a fishing period, an extension today and probably more fishing time expected tomorrow. Numbers show a push of fish, clearly fish are moving.

    Westside Salmon Announcement 25
This is Westside salmon announcement number 25 issued Thursday, July 2 at 12:00 p.m.
Commercial fishing with set gillnets in the Nushagak and Igushik Sections is extended 25 hours until 10:00 p.m. July 3.
Commercial fishing with drift gillnets in the Nushagak and Igushik Sections of the Nushagak District will be allowed for 8 hours from 1:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. July 3, and again in the Nushagak and Igushik Sections of the Nushagak District for 8 hours, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. July 3.
The escapement in the Wood River yesterday was 43,000 and 45,000 this morning, for a cumulative of 548,000. The Nushagak sockeye escapement was 33,000 yesterday, for a cumulative of 272,000, and the Nushagak king escapement was 2,100, for a cumulative of 64,300. The unapportioned counts at 6:00 a.m. are 8,600. The Igushik River escapement yesterday was 14,800 sockeye and 6,600 so far this morning, for a total of 57,700.

    Oop, there is is:
This is Westside salmon announcement number 27 issued Friday, July 3 at 3:00 p.m. Commercial fishing with set gillnets in the Nushagak and Igushik Sections is extended until further notice.

Naw. Couldn’t have been planned for Todd to blow off fishing July 2nd.
I missed my grandmother’s funeral because we were out fishing. My dad missed my brother’s birth.
It just doesn’t work that way, it’s a one-shot deal. You’re either there or no season. You can’t make it up some other time. Why would he have bothered to gear-up for fishing, make the investment in being there and preparing for fishing, if he wasn’t going to be there for these few decisive peak days?

He flew home for some kind of a really big huge deal. She says she consulted her kids who unanimously voted in favor of whatever the next adventure is, and she said she’ll discuss the details of this at another time. Hmmm.

Something incompatible with being the governor:
    a. A sweet gig in the entertainment biz
    b. Campaigning for president (A real campaign, not just 60 days at the end of someone else’s.)
    c. A run for senator

She’s not a quitter and public opinion is unimportant to her. She never does anything that there isn’t something in it for HER. Someone has offered her a really cool awesome opportunity. She isn’t going to blink – she’s taking it!

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-07-03/did-a-scandal-sink-the-uss-palin/

“Many political observers in Alaska are fixated on rumors that federal investigators have been seizing paperwork from SBS in recent months, searching for evidence that Palin and her husband Todd steered lucrative contracts to the well-connected company in exchange for gifts like the construction of their home on pristine Lake Lucille in 2002. “…

There’s more to this sudden quitting than the excuses she gave today…waiting for the other shoe to drop, perhaps courtesy of “the feds”…

  74. BooBooBear says:

Is it really true that there is an indictment awaiting authorization? Is this about that embezzlement story and Raymond Carter’s trust fund or something else??

  75. London Bridges says:

Sarah thinks she is God’s Chosen One. Thus, given her decision to not seek re-election, it would be beneath her to serve as a lame duck governor. This is consistent with her logic. May be more to the story, but maybe not.

  76. Terpsichore says:

hmmm… seems my last comment didn’t gp thru. just as well, ’cause after i saw a large part of her announcement speech, i want to take back soem of what i said . unfortunately it would be all the nice, sympathetic stuff i said about her.

she is hyperventilating, for one. Its understandable to be emotional, but ive never seen it manifested in quite that way, not by somebody who is supposedly comfortable taking the stage, and a runner (she should know how to breathe and contriol her breathing)

she just dissed every single sitting elected official who has annouced they are not rerunning, or who haven’t annouced yet.

she’s still yabbing on abput her lofty goals – which generically are all things i agree with too, like life, and freedom, and energy independence. If Sarah and/or her followers continue to call or intimate that people who do not outright agree with them ‘haters’, ‘liberals’, communists’, “not real Americans”, then shes got a big problem ahead of her.

I thought differently before I saw the speech – but after seeing/hearing her ‘abdication’ speech, i am convinced (and not completely surprised), that she is resigning ahead of schedule because it will be good for Sarah Palin NOT (neccessarily) the State of Alaska, as she claimed.

Alaskans, you get to have yourselves one heck of an Independence Day this year!!!

Sarah is MUCH too savvy to just up and quit. She knows leaving a position -let alone the position of Gov- won’t look good on her resume.

And money? Money, schmoney – this whole thing smells too much for it to be a mere case of her wanting to cash in NOW on her ‘magnetism and charm’ – there’s something else, something really big, a-brewin’.

Someone, somewhere, has the goods on her and is fixin’ to spill the beans. I betcha. Too, also.

That said, I’m sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to find out WHAT it is that has Her Sarahness running so scared that she’s unable (and/or unwilling) to complete her term.

Keep up the fantastic digging and fact-checking, AK blogsters – you’re doing us all proud. I’ll get the next batch of popcorn…

I just got home from shopping. I heard the soundbyte speech and just about drove off the road. The part they played was regarding the whiney ethics charges excuse, one of which was holding a fish. I don’t remember that one!!

The commentator mentioned she is going to get herself ready for a 2012 run.

Just watched CNN and Ed Rollin’s agreed with the other person — it is political suicide. Should have waited till beginning of year and then resigned. Another person commented that there is something we just don’t know. They spoke about her being able to give speeches for 40-50 thousand but Ed said that will fade. YES!!!! They also spoke that by announcing it on a Friday, it’s got lots of air time to play out over the weekend, which is not a good thing. YES again!!

Ensign,, Sanford & Palin — the GOP drop one a week!! How many are left. Any guesses for next week!!!!

Well, time to go back and read all the comments, it’ll probably take me a long while. I tried at Shannyon’s at HP, but there were over 1100 waiting.

    Palin’s Foolish Resignation

Sarah Palin, as you may well have heard, is resigning as governor of Alaska later this month in order, reports The Post’s Chris Cillizza, to focus on a 2012 presidential bid. And, in one stroke, she reconfirms many of the reasons she will never be president.

    *snip*

…This makes her look incapable of juggling multiple tasks at once.

Which points to a larger problem: judgment skills, or, rather, her questionable possession of such.

When I watched Sarah spin her salad and that loud squawking noise started my first thought was, is there a turkey being slaughtered?! Then, out of the blue, just camera right of Sarah’s head, the sitting duck came gliding in!!! I doubled over laughing!

I watched it on MSNBC and at the end of her spin cycle the camera panned around to show the “audience” (mostly family) and I noticed that everyone was applauding with the exception of Chuck Heath. Chuck had his hands in his pockets and looked rather perturbed. Hmmm.

  158. E in New England says:

Happy 4th of July to AK! I kinda don’t know what to do with this except say THANK GOODNESS! Something’s coming, though, I’m sure of it. And even if she’s out of office, not a chance in hell she’s giving up the spotlight, so this isn’t the last of her, unfortunately.

I’ve been having Mudflats withdrawal trying to get to the posts/comments about this all day, but the front page of the HuffPo almost made up for it: screaming red all-caps headline about the resignation.

Gotta go find a drink so I can celebrate with you all! 🙂

  165. ocliberal says:

Wow, it was weird to be cut off from Mudflats at this time. Glad to back on line.

    Wow!!!!

I really, really truly believe Sarah Palin would not have quit like that unless something or someone made her.

I think there is a major scandal coming down and she was told to get out of Dodge while she could. She probably cut a deal with someone. I don’t know if it’s personal, political or criminal but something made her run and run fast.

Her speech was beyond desperate and manic. She was spookedly crazed in her attempts to remind everyone over and over what a great governor she has been. Of course everything she said was just one big fat lie after another.

If I didn’t despise this woman so much and her lack of ethics, morality and decency I would almost feel sorry for her. I truly believe we witnessed her melting before our eyes. She made Sanford look rational.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if it turns out she insisted on making that speech against the advice of others. Her mental state is in serious question right now.

Stay tuned folks. This ride is far from over yet. The apathetic MSM who has been lobbing softballs at Palin for the past year is about wake up. I don’t think Palin has any idea what real ‘blood sport’ is yet. Now that there are true ratings gold to be found in Alaska the media vultures will descend in earnest. And now the Palin is out as Governor, there aren’t going to be as many incentives to protect her and tongues will start loosening up and as we all know it is really, really crowded under that bus.

Palin may have resigned too late.

I can’t wait for AKM to check in! We need her sanity and perception more than ever.

  166. hahahahahaha!

  174. OMG – I missed all this today. I don’t know what to write. Incredible!

I wonder what’s coming down the pike for her? I can’t believe she quoted MacArthur!!!

  175. samper says:

Thanks, Server Guy, for all you do!!!!

Which station should I be watching? Nuts For Palin Fox or Sanity at MSNBC? I have MSNBC on, not wanting to miss criticism, but wonder, also, too, therefore, also what they are sayin’ on Faux. I’m so torn!

The next round is on me! TIME TO CELEBRATE FOR ALL OUR FRIENDS IN AK!!!

  176. ds55 says:

@ Samper: Maybe they contacted Track by psychic hotline.

  177. bucfan says:

And the only thing missing from her rambling statement was “You’re not going to have Sarah Palin to kick around anymore”

  178. ds55 says:

It was all those desecrated iconic photoshopped images that pushed Sarah over the edge. Good job!

  179. bucfan says:

So I just had to go to C4P and giggle. I am sure they don’t know what to do. And poor John Ziegler. Who is he going to stalk now? And MSNBC is going to play the entire press conference. Let me get a jack and coke. Gonna need it.

  180. Nebraska Native says:

Strange things happening at mudflats… redirect and all. This means we have lots of potential puppies wanting to join us. 181. samper says:

4 “yes” and one “hell yeah” (guessing from Bristol). Evidently, Todd didn’t vote, cuz she said the “kids”.

Lyda Green got her revenge on MSNBC a few minutes ago. She really put the boot into Palin.

  187. Mattie says:

I think we do need to still see the emails, you don’t know what she is trying to do, she is insane enough to still try to run for president. And I hope it wasn’t her 14 year old daughter that said Hell.

  188. QuiltAK says:

Thank You for all you do Server Guy! Denali is out today! That must be a good sign – it is almost never out (visible) in the summer. Beautiful day! Great news! Our fireworks tonight will truly be a celebration!

  189. dowl says:

It was just horrible with Mudflats down. Happy it’s back up. Thank you AKM (and other AK bloggers) and snoskred, and other techies working for justice.

    That said and truly appreciated…

IMO, she’ll run as the head of some third party that will be financed by the freepers, e.g. (James Dobson) Focus on the Family-types associated with AK & TX. ‘The base’ will support her because they want America ‘saved and safe’ for themselves only.

The Constitution Party OR some AIP-related survivalists, ‘us vs them’ right winging underground (Timothy McVeigh-like) ‘real’ Americans comes to mind when thinking theocratic-third-party-Palin.

Just my opinion. Wow, just wow.

  190. pvazwindy says:

She asked her family what they thought of her decision. Do it, 4 yes and 1 hell yes? Todd, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig?

  191. samper says:

Could she have been any more frenetic and “gaspy”?

What happens to SarahPac? The “Meat” is STILL donating, just to “show support”. What idiots!

  192. winkwinkWA says:

Linda Green now on Hardball, she is not what people in the lower 48 think.

  193. BJA says:

Over on Freerepublic, of course they’re blaming all of us for picking on her. You can find this when you search between the posts on Obama the Socialist, Obama’s Birth Certificate, Obama’s Power Grab, Obama — The Guy Who Is Coming to Cook Your Children … you get the point. Somehow they can stay on Obama all day every day with nutty rumors and innuendo, but poor Sarah was getting picked on.

Look, lurkers. If you did it to Hillary you’ve got to expect the same things will be done to Sarah. Ever feel sorry for Hillary? Didn’t think so. Sarah’s not so tough if she has to bail because of a few bad articles. Hillary lived through a hell of a lot more than that. Sarah, welcome to the kitchen. Yup, it’s hot.

  194. sdragon says:

I,I,I,I, I’m drinking beer!!!! I’m speechless! CONGRATULATIONS ALASKA! Have the best 4th ever!!!!!! All of you Alaska bloggers rock! I can’t even type, so I’m just going to sit back & read. You mudpups are the best!!!!!!!

  195. BJA says:

This sounds like someone who knows an indictment is coming. She won’t make it to the end of the month. There’s no way a personality like that gives up power without being forced. Wrong day to do it. This was a move by a desperate person. It’s not an affair, it’s big. It’s got to be about money.

  196. samper says:

What a day for the site to go down! I couldn’t get on for a LOOONG time (HOURS)!

Anyway… did it even occur to this dimwit that she doesn’t HAVE to travel around as a Lame Duck? She COULD actually just sit in her office and govern the state instead.

She can’t stand the heat in AK, of all places… DC is MUCH warmer and she’d never survive there, either.

Most are saying she has no chance for political office again because she is a QUITTER… couldn’t even fulfill a lousy four year commitment to her JOB.

I hope Linda didn’t send the check yet!!! No need to see the emails now!!!

Looks like we’ll have to switch to everyone’s favorite OTHER dingbat… Bachman! That is, if Palin is REALLY going to stay out of the news.

Shuster: Another shoe to drop… criminal investigation… just rumours, but asking where it might come from.

    There’s something that’s going to happen… BIG… ICEBERG BIG! 🙂

The “Meat” is all about “supporting” her and “trust her decision” and think it’s all about 2012.

Andrea Mitchell reports her sources say she’s out of politics for GOOD.

    WOW!

  197. ServerGuy says:

  198. winkwinkWA says:

If that speech was Sarah saying she wants to spend time with her family and do bigger and better things for Alaska and The united States , shouldn’t she have been happy and excited for the future, instead she looked pissed and unhappy, rambling on and taking gasps of air. she was a total mess!!

  199. fawnskin the jubilant mudpuppy says:

Copied from the old site – which has a whole bunch of posts to read –

    Seagull Junker Palin (11:47:00) :

Has anyone gone to see of pee? I won’t but am dying to hear what they are saying/crying.

Yep…I did. The admin staff is deleting quite a number of posts from its members, and it’s running about 80/20 in support of her decision, that it’s great because the restrictions of being governor/seeking a national leadership role is now gone.

    – – – – – – –

Me? I say, if she can’t handle the heat of the media / ethics complaints defenses / “the job” of governor of a small state, tain’t NO WAY she can handle the rigors and focus required of a presidency.

PS 1: too bad that Letterman/KO/RM are off today….

PS 2: MSNBC is running Hard Ball now stop now…mix of R’s and D’s and I’s. R’s are very ‘happy’ about her decision, D’s & I’s are she’s toast nationally…

  203. crystalwolf aka caligrl says:

Izzy! Your back! Happy Day! I bet you are beyond estastic! 😀

  204. crystalwolf aka caligrl says:

Wow! Happy Day for Alaska! Shannyn Moore was just talking to MSNBC and was mentioning the “iceberg”…she didn’t say iceberg, but was the sayng what Dennis has had on his news page! And they still keep talking about it, and Troopergate…and they are saying her political career is “Ruined”
OMFG! Hope everyone has adult bev and lots of popcorn! 😀

  205. tigerwine says:

Like someone else said “There is a God!”

And like Candy Crowley said “There’s a piece missing here”.

Is it the tip of the iceberg? Is the IRS, etc. on to her?

I nearly barfed when she said that, as a “lame duck” (not Sitting Duck-hah) governor, she wouldn’t milk the people of AK by wasting tax payers money on out of country/state jaunts. Yet she’s been collecting per diem because she doesn’t like the state capitol.

So many things running through my mind – there has to be a reason for this, other than the obvious. Stay on her, mudpups!

THATS THE ERROR I’M GETTING WHILE TRYING TO LOG ON SNOSK

  210. Snoskred says:

The server is running hot – we’re experiencing 6x the usual traffic that we normally would. And of course it has to happen the day *after* they mistakenly disconnect my home phone while connecting the new home phone – it was meant to stay on for a couple more weeks.

If you find things are running slow, and that you can’t connect to the site, please just be patient – go away, make a cup of tea or coffee, come back and try again.

We have capped the number of connections to the site so that people can access it instead of crashing it completely when too many people try to connect, so you may get a page which says connection denied or something like that.

  211. GlobalVillage says:

Congratulations to AKM and all of the other Alaskan bloggers and beyond who have maintained their quest for truth and accountability. You have maintained your rage and held the blowtorch on this dishonest and corrupt politician. You are AMAZING! Thanks come from every corner of the earth.

My heartfelt congratulations to all Alaskans! Most especially the brilliant bloggers in their jammies…

I have been reading here since last August when Her Self appeared out of the Alaskan mists, and posting only occasionally. (Always feeling a little bit like I was crashing the coolest party…)

I’m thrilled for you all. Whatever else comes of this, whatever else she does or doesn’t do, this is great news for Alaska.

  215. Nebraska Native says:

  219. ggirl says:

What I picked up on while watching her lil’ press conference:

    1. Something big is on the horizon (i.e. she has screwed up big time, someone has proof and investigations & hearings are on the horizon). I’m thinking that her comments re: spending millions of taxpayers dollars is related to this. She’s basically ranting (I quit! They’re gonna spend all of your taxpayer $ trying to ruin my master plan!).

    2. She’s still gunning for bigger & better things. This is what she’s referring to with the statements about the larger picture, the vision and the screwy point guard analogy. She’s either a. in talks w/ FOX News re: her own show, b. ready to sign the ink on the 7 figure book deal or c. still entertaining delusions of being President.

She basically said “Why won’t y’all let Sarah be Great!” This is a tantrum sparked by someone catching her hands in the cookie jar. She’s childish, narcissistic and corrupt. I’m surprised that Alaska didn’t fall off the map under this woman’s watch.

  220. Snoskred says:

AKMuckraker if you are there, can you jump online on skype. 🙂 I’m online.

Everyone you might find the site is a bit slow for a while during this time – so many people are trying to connect to it at once.

Also guys, I have set up a thread on the forum where you can chat about the resignation – the forum takes up less server “energy” so in order to keep the site up for everyone it would be better if you could use that thread for chat and discussion etc.

Congrats to all Alaskans and especially to AKM, Linda, Gryphen, Phil, Shannyn and all the other bloggers who kept the pressure on!!! Hopefully Andrea Mitchell’s sources are correct and we won’t have to sleep with one eye open any more.

Couple of thoughts that popped into my head while listening to her rambling word salad speech:
    1. Did ya notice that the Fargo accent that we all were subjected to since August just about disappeared?
    2. If she thinks that by not running for re-election, she’s a lame duck and is better off resigning, what does that make Parnell? He’s not running in 2010 either. How can she possibly justify his being more effective than she is (which, admittedly, wouldn’t take much!)?
If she loves her job so much, how about forgetting all the travelin’ and stick to doing some actual, real work for her ‘beloved state’? Does that mean that EVERY politician who decides not to run again should resign halfway through their term???

I’d bet that her next move is to put on some industrial strength life preservers and shore up the house in anticipation of a big ‘ol iceberg that’s still heading her way…

  222. gdwyer says:

    So so happy!

I hope that Sarah doesn’t watch the TV pundits saying that her hopes for national politics are done– she could change her mind, she’s done it before!

About the speech: There’s no need to announce that she isn’t running for a second term if she has no plans to complete the first term. I also enjoyed the ducks quacking and geese honking in the background. Reminded me of the Turkey Pardon Interview.

No need to be angry, HamletsMill.

Sarah proved herself to be the fraud that we all knew she is by quitting when the going started getting tough. But, by quitting, she made Alaska a better place.

Fact is, Frum & Co. drew blood with their on-the-mark criticisms of her style and persona. And the re-emergence of her close ties to a secessionist group certainly did not help. I think even she now knows that Americans are looking at her the same way that Americans looked at Jeff Davis all those years ago.

Gettysburg took place all those years ago and the Union was victorious. So, too, Alaska with the resignation of the grand madam of word salads.

(anyone really understand what she said today??)

  239. HamletsMill says:

It is all about Team Saracuda.

The book money is talking. TV and radio waiting in the wings. Time to dump being the elected Governor of Alaska!

She is the ultimate for Fox News political talk show p o r n every single night. Rupert Murdock has b l o o d moving around at just the thought of her sitting in front of the camera. But it will eventually be a train wreck for the Republican Party in the long run. Complete political suicide for the once respectable conservative fiscal responsibility values of the Main Street Republican Party.

Bill Kristol’s unholy fascination with her will bring destruction for years and maybe even decades to come if Obama will eventually break with Wall Street GS Alumni Federal Reserve Financial Illuminati. Maybe he will break sooner if she starts to get any traction with the Wal-Mart Mass Diminati.

I am now angry we had to go through this insane McCain blunder. But two good things DID come out of it:

    (1) Barack Obama was elected President of the United States.

    (2) AKM and the Mudflats now exist on the radar of the entire world.

  240. KallieinTexas says:

My phone has been ringing off the hook, “free at last, thank god, we’re free at last.”

She’ll be on every cover of every magazine and every talk show for weeks and then we can just put it to rest. It’s okay, I know where the off button is.

  243. PepperzMom (GA) says:

  256. AlaskaGuy says:

Mudflats must be taking a hammering today, I can’t get to read all the posts, so I’ll just add my 2 cents, (if I’m lucky!)

Personally I don’t think she has any grand aspirations for public office, I think she has aspirations to be on the national stage. I think she’d much rather be Rush Limbaugh than the next George W. Bush.

My best guess is that she’s done this to free her to do any number of speaking engagements, and to purse the book deals, without the handicap of having to actually do the job she’s being paid for, or to deal with the almost weekly ethics complaints against her.

  257. K8KZ says:

OMG!!! I can’t take it……….I can’t get any further than the last page of the comments here- AKM the site must be burning up!! Oh glory day!!
My guess is she got her first advance check for her book and since she didn’t really care much about gettin up and goin to work, she decided what they hell do I need to get up for now when I can stay home and get to my book writin.

Her brother is on Faux by phone… voice is shaking (nerves or lies)… saying all the negative media… all the ethics complaints all thrown out… all weighed heavily… took it’s toll on the family… too much time spent defending herself… less scruitiny on Parnell… only one ethics complaint was valid, the travelgate one, ‘she stepped up and did the right thing’… speculating on the 2012 run… brother didn’t sense that was at issue… free to focus on national issues… brother cutting off and running as well from the interview…

What a load of CARP from him!

She’s running away for a REASON! This isn’t the type of woman to run away on short notice, unless the proverbial wolves were at the bloody door! If Parnell won’t seek any re-election as someone mentioed earlier, I still see some sort of pardon in the future and then he won’t run after it’s said and done.

    Vegas ‘pardon’ window at 5-3…
    Vegas ‘bombshell’ window at 3-1…

Here’s my prediction. In August or September, there’s going to be an announcement of a new concept new/talk show on Fox News, starring guess-who. She can make more money there than as governor. She can say things that won’t be fact-checked. And, she may need the money for some of those pesky Federal/IRS complaints which may be around the corner.

  266. zyggy says:

  267. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

Did she land that job a FauxNoise? Will she now be another Billo or Schlembeck?

It’s LIVE on MSNBC… she’s whining about all the distractions… she’s jumping for a REAL reason! This is JUST the BEGINNING! Something is about to EXPLODE here… she’s done the pre-emptive withdrawal before she gets PUT out! Oh the plot thickens. End of July… what pardons will Parnell be up to? They are saying that it’s the medias fault and that the general populace was too hard on her… she’s doing it for her family… all the ethics complaints were unjustified and all knocked down… she’s protecting a BIG iceberg here! This will DEFINATELY sell the book now! An expose in the making1 Not to mention all the $$$ she’ll make! She’s about to make a TON of cash on the talk show circuit. WOWZA

Vegas has the ‘pardon’ window open at 7-5…

One thing is for sure, she will forever be etched into the WIngnut America Psyche as a martyr and the “what could have been” whiners will be the most pathetic legacy she could ever wish for…..

  279. anon blogger says:

Yeah…..I am soooooo excited for you guys. Sooooo happy. But if a national stage is her ambition, we all need Alaskans to stop her!!!

Oh, happy days…hope your INDEPENDENCE DAY really a happy day!!!!!!

    Oops,,,,data connection failure again….

  280. Anne Whitney says:

Are the Republicans going to have any candidate left to run for POTUS in 2012, or are they just going to forfeit?

  281. ds55 says:

Her supporters must be heartbroken… ROFL!
Seriously, I bet it’s because of the leaked emails. There’s more dirt on her in those emails and she’s quitting before more leaks out.

  282. samper says:

    CONGRATULATIONS, ALASKA!

    You get your state back!!!!!

    🙂 XOXXOXXOOOXXXOXXOX!!!

  285. teutonic13 says:

Guys…. Guys….. See my previous post- I called it first …. If she resigns that is….

    Mmwwaaaaa Haa Haaa

  286. BigSlick says:

FOX bobble-head says lack of reasons given is going to kill her POTUS viability

    MUST be another reason

If this is Sarah’s way of diving into a POTUS run. then it is like she’s throwing blood in the water in front of the sharks and then slitting her wrists before she dives in!

  287. Wolf Pack says:

Palin family fed up. The fam wanted her to resign.

  288. anon blogger says:

Man, I tried to let you guys know, and the database connection crashed. Nothing was mentioned about the national stage. End of July for you guys!!!!!

  289. ds55 says:

WooHoo! Sarah is resigning! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Congratulations to all Alaskans!

  290. samper says:

    I thought they were BROKE!

    Now she’s unemployed, too?!

This might just get Chris, KO and Rachel home from vacations early!!!!

  291. CorningNY says:

Oh, how the mighty do fall.

AKM, I have a feeling you’re going to have a lot more free time, now that you won’t have to keep up with Scarah’s antics!

    I LOVE IT!

  292. Angela says:

MSNBC had a report by KTUU that says Palin is resigning. Wow! I wonder what is coming out about her.

  293. Martha says:

    Must be that “iceberg” thing……………..WOW!

  294. bonefish says:

Are we seeing the beginning of a crackup or the beginning of a Prez. run? Something is darned fishy about all this…

On CNN they said she is stepping down and won’t run for reelection…does that mean she is resigning????

  299. austintx says:

    F^*KING A !! SEE YA sarah !!

  300. Callie says:

    Resignation?!?!?

Wow, shocker. Something else is going on- not finishing out her term as governor will really hurt her chances on a national level- other candidates will jump all over it. Can’t wait to see the other shoe drop to see what’s really behind all this.

  301. samper says:

    SHE’S ON NOW!

  302. Wolf Pack says:

She is resigning in couple of weeks. Not good giving up office, if you had planned to run for President.

  303. BigSlick says:

FOX ias speculating on which scandal is driving this decision.

They say this hurts her no matter what the reason, and kills her chances for POTUS as well.

Houston, we have dodged impact with the asteroid.

  304. Amereurocan says:

I wouldn’t believe anything she says…she can always decide to run again…she just likes the drama and attention

  305. leenie17 says:

I can’t see any comments beyond #133 at 10:52. I’ve refreshed, closed and opened and linked from other blogs. Maybe this will work (finger crossed!)

  306. samper says:

Is resignation CONFIRMED? I have on FAUX and didn’t hear more than not running again.

  307. ValleyIndependent says:

How nice that she has been smart enough to realize what we already knew – there was nothing for her to gain and much to lose by running for governor again.

    On KBYR 700 now.

She’s a raving idiot if she tries to take on Murkowski for Senate. Lisa is a highly respected, high ranking, intelligent Republican woman who is polling much higher. It would be fun to watch Palin get chewed up and spit out, though.

  308. jess says:

Says she is stepping down and resigning!!!! On snap what’s the next scandal thats gonna break?????

  309. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

WHOA WHOA! She’s RESIGNINING as Governor..

    THERE IS A GOD !!!

Whatever is going to come out must be HUUUUUGE!!!! The book deal?
Fraud? Breakdown??? OMG! Am I draming here??? Fox STILL doesn’t have that part up yet! So much for being in cahoots with them!

I am having a Guiness for ALL Alaskans! Cheers!

  310. Wolf Pack says:

MSNBC says Palin will resign !!!!!

  311. Martha says:

CNN says that she is NOT running for Gov again…..Rick Sanchez trying to blame her lack of popularity on the declining price of oil….directly tied to the governorships poll #’s………time for Sanchez to go to work on FOX……I’m so tired of his interjections like this on behave of the republicans …he says she still has the #’s to win……….Candy Crowley says……If a politician CAN win they will run………..lol

  312. txdemocrat says:

Guess she figures better to NOT run than to RUN and lose?
Coming soon: book tour that just HAPPENS to have multiple book signing appearances in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Please excuse if this is posted a few times…think the site crashing is messing up posting??

  313. jc in co says:

ok, she’s not running for guv again, big deal….I was hoping she was resigning.

  314. zyggy says:

cool, now she can for President in 2012, great news. I’m hearing landslide already, but not for Bible Spice

or if she does say she won’t seek re-election, I hope she blames the bloggers for making her do all this.

  315. anon blogger says:

Palin will not be seeking re-election for governor just announced.

  316. jess says:

Says she’s NOT running for Gov!!!! Lucky for you Alaskans!!

  317. blue moose says:

this the best thing for Alaska!! she got what she wanted from us the citizens! We have been used and HAD. it was to be expected! She is in Wasilla? that is the surprise thought she lived in NY now..

  318. Seagull Junker Palin says:

Mudflats crashed – but now is back! You’ve hit the BIG TIME!!!

  319. Craig says:

Pretty funny not a single local tv/radio station bothered to cover this “important news” live.

  320. kiksadi50 says:

her resigning would be more than I can hope for. Must be some kind of a.defense for Vanity Fair article or b.some other attention seeking behavior. Is this woman capable of staying out of the headlights of the media for a week? She is so in love with her own celebrity. I think Vanity Fair article is way too kind to her. there is so much stuff that wasn’t said.If the GOP are seriously viewing her as a candidate for president they must be far more dysfunctional than I dreamed. She is doing it from her home so it probably isn’t related to state business. I hope she resigns, but be careful what you wish for, think of the incompetents who could get elected to replace her….

  321. jc in co says:

I have to leave in 15 minutes, samper are you there? is she late? what’s going on? UK Lady have you heard anything?

  322. Angela says:

Why would fox news be the only one carrying the story? I wonder if she left out our Alaska media, because I don’t see any news about this on any other MSM Alaskan media.

  323. jc in co says:

I have to leave in15 minutes, samper are you there? is she late? what’s going on? UK Lady have you heard anything?

  324. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

CNN HLN says she’s not seeking re-election… FauxNoise has naught yet!

They gave it a whopping 60 seconds! Good for them! GREAT for Alaskans! Now it’s up to the rest of us in the lower 49 to KEEP her out of the White House.

Fox is JUST now running it, remarking about her drop in popularity numbers has caused this. Like I said before… guaranteed to be in the news all weekend!

Love to all… but I MUST get back to my chores! I have Jambalaya to make yet!

Looking forward to a HOT post from AKM later!

  325. Lori inLos Angeles says:

I don’t think she is resigning – just not running for re-election I think. Hope I am wrong and it IS resignation.

  326. The Rubber Room Hotel says:

holy crap did mudflats crash I could not connect for about 5 minutes

  327. Ennealogic says:

Breaking News : she will not run for re-election.

  328. phoebe says:

What strange timing. Why today? Congratulations Alaskans! Your prayers have been answered….maybe. Still thinking meltdown.

  329. BooBooBear says:

Thank God—-She will NOT run for Governor again!!!!!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT…now she will run for President……….she must be stopped!

  330. Ennealogic says:

Maybe she wants to give the concession speech that McCain wouldn’t let her give on Nov 4…

  331. txindygirl says:

You know, on second thought… if she resigns and blames it on the Big Bad Librul Media, she might look like a real victim, instead of the one she’s been playing on the teevee.

  332. UK Lady says:

OK folks, follow the money – her price for running for gov again just completely tanked on the betting sites.

  333. teutonic13 says:

    Yawn….. C’mon- get on wit it….

  334. wasillawarrior says:

ARM, I hope that is correct, I have lump in my throat just thinking about it…

  335. ds55 says:

Would she resign if another daughter is pregnant?

  336. Kat says:

Denying horrible rumors that she was wearing pantyhose under her shorts in shameful flag picture. Sez AIP said it was just fine to use the US flag in that manner.

  337. Super Bee says:

  338. C. Rock says:

Maybe Levi is going to spill the beans.

  339. Ripley in CT says:

LOL @ pardoning a bbq marshmallow!!! Good thing I didn’t have anything in my mouth!

BTW, if she quits, we’re still having the NYC Mudstock!!!

  340. Ennealogic says:

It would be dumb to have a press conference at home to say she wasn’t running again. Wouldn’t it?

  341. AKaurora says:

She’s NOT running again for governor! Thank God!

  342. BigSlick says:

If she is resigning, I’d sure like to know what pushed her there…..was it the unauthorized use of a supporter’s credit card?

  343. Ripley in CT says:

LOL @ pardoning a bbq marshmallow!!! Good think I didn’t have anything in my mouth!

BTW, if she quits, we’re still having the NYC Mudstock!!!

  344. akmuckraker says:

    FOX is carrying it.

  345. Muppet2 says:

Faux news says she’s not running for re-election. hmmm, senator?

  346. akmuckraker says:

It’s “about her future as governor”.
So, she’s either running again, or resigning…?

  347. txindygirl says:

I agree with AKM’s earlier comment… it’ll be something completely unrelated to the Vanity Fair piece or its fallout. It’ll be about the Parental Consent initiative or along those lines. She’s been so quiet these past days that I think she’s actually listening to someone’s advice. She needs to be seen in the news, but not seen confronting the Vanity Fair thing. By not taking questions, she can keep the topic on what she is saying. Too little, too late, I think.

  348. TiredMom says:

RESIGNATION??? Have our collective mudpuppy prayers been answered?!

  349. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

Please keep us non-tv-ers up to date!

  354. LiladyNY says:

  355. ds55 says:

  356. BigSlick says:

  357. Ennealogic says:

  359. Ripley in CT says:

Oh my goodness AKM, don’t do that to me!!! What a gift for the country!!!

  360. Lori in Los Angeles says:

It better be something substantial (if this is at all possible) because the drama queen is making a HIGE deal out of this (ok, nevermind). sea of pee – I think they ARE wetitng their pants with excitement, specualting she will announce her bid for President in 2012 and that RAM will be in her Cabinet.

  361. wasillawarrior says:

She is going to her run for reelection, she sees it as her only chance to fix her image
nationally, to get the pipeline build and fire up the economy gee golly…or she is going into intense therapy and must resign…

  362. Super Bee says:

Wouldn’t it be funny if no one showed up?

Yup. ROFL! “I am the center of the universe!”

  365. austintx says:

Why not at the capitol if it’s any thing “official”. ie. Signing of anything ??

  366. Wolf Pack says:

I figured she’d come up with some stunt, being unable to stand being preempted by MJ’s media coverage.

  367. Rob in Ca says:

I bet on Wolf Pack. This is just her support speech for the abortion initiative…
The only thing that makes me wonder is that Friday is usually bad news day, so the news is forgotten by Monday. So maybe I am wrong, and she is delivering bad news. Hope so!

  368. Eric-the-Bun says:

Actually, if it were a normal person, than an announcement from home would tend to indicate a resignation scenario, especially if it is arranged to be broadcast.

Anything to do with the Governors Office should be done from Juneau and something like annoucing an election bid would be done outside the Government building.

But we aren’t dealing with normality here. It could just be Trig’s first tooth.

  369. ds55 says:

What other important announcements has Sarah done live?

  370. akmuckraker says:

She will not be taking questions.

  371. honestyinGov says:

  375. AlaskaDisasta says:

Maybe she’s leaving early (like yesterday) for her ‘rapture’. Hopefully she’ll take First Dud with her and all that will be left will be a pile of unreturned expensive clothing, his silk underwear and her red ‘streetwalker’ shoes.

  376. Pepper1939 says:

Was looking at Alaska Fund Trust. Realize now that she will be able to donate all unused funds to a 501(c)(3) organization. Religious organizations fall into that category if incorporated, as I understand it. More HOGWASH. Or lipstick on a pig.

  377. UK Lady says:

Maybe she’s bought some monkey shoes in BLUE. Blinkin’ drama queen!

  378. teutonic13 says:

    thanks txindygirl

  379. Seagull Junker Palin says:

If she is going to nationally announce her dismissal of the Health Director (not sure if that’s the title) based on the Gov.’s anti-abortion stand, she’s just digging herself in deeper. Now the nation will have a basis to criticize her on her religion vs. science in governance even more.

  380. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

  391. txindygirl says:

  392. pearl89 says:

  394. ds55 says:

  395. ValleyIndependent says:

  397. akmuckraker says:

    This is getting interesting.

  398. Wolf Pack says:

She’s going to be the first to sign her proposal to take away young girls Constitutional rights.

  399. kerryann63 says:

Darn!!! I knew she’d been to quiet lately. I was hoping that we could maybe, just maybe, have a nice holiday weekend without her warped sense of patriotism. It seems it was to much to hope for. Well, off to get some popcorn before the big news conference……to bad it’s to early for a drinking game, also to.

  400. ds55 says:

    What a drama queen.

  401. Seagull Junker Palin says:

    She’ll mention the President.

  402. teutonic13 says:

Oops- sorry about the caps lock thing.

  403. txindygirl says:

she should just lay low and keep tweeting about all those great things she does for AKNS.

  404. Lori in Los Angeles says:

Let’s not forget it will be written by her new “person”, so I expect lots of code words for her Fundie base. FOX, a National “news” nework who has been known to NOT cover President Obama’s speeches, will air this twit all over the Nation? Like SHE is that important? What a joke, a twofer – Palin and Fox –
maybe Rush and Beck will do the commentary. Wonder if she will wear her running clothes, give the old white guys a “release” of some sort.

  405. teutonic13 says:

i THINK SHE IS GOING TO ANNOUNCE A rUN FOR pREZ- and THAT THE pALIN’S ARE MOVING OUT OF aLASKA- and THAT SHE IS TRANSFERRING POWER TO mEG

  406. akmuckraker says:

Many commissioners are there. So is Sean Parnell.

  407. Ripley in CT says:

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing AKM… she wants to be the first in line to cause minors to wait too long for an abortion because they are afraid to tell their parents.

    I think it’s Twitter-related.

She’s not been twittering because no one is listening so she’s wrote down all the twitters she would have made in the last day and will read them out at home.

  420. Lori in Los Angeles says:

If I could write her big announcement:
“Happy 4th of July, also, too, you betcha I am stepping down as Governor due to the mean bloggers, John Mcain and David Letterman. I have accepted a position at FOX News lookin’ forward to working with Greta to progress our great Nation, in Jesus name, and here is a shout out to our brave Troops who defend my right to not ever be criticized by the media as per the first amendment, and HEEEEERE’S Triggggggg – do NOT talk about my family!”

  421. akmuckraker says:

She did say she wanted to be the first signature on the Parental Consent ballot initiative petition.

  422. Wolf Pack says:

Todd to head up Dept of State Health.

  423. Comment on timing – It seems that it will be something related to the national scene since she picked the day before the 4th, full of patriotism, etc – but it seems too early to talk about future runs for Pres. – unless she keeps it open by saying that she will not be running for reelection as governor so that she can be available to answer the call for other pursuits in the future. Just typing out loud here.

Since I am just starting my day, after working late here at home – have time to ponder the significance of this event ! 🙂

I’m figuring it won’t be broadcast live here in Tiny Town. It’s 4.30 a.m. Saturday and I’m going back to bed. Anything less than a run for POTUS isn’t worth waiting up for.

But please wake me if she’s retiring …. 🙂

  438. BooBooBear says:

Ever notice how Palin always makes big announcements or fires someone on a Friday? Without fail.

  439. Anon says:

    She’s having another baby! lol

  440. Paula says:

Todd pregnant and having a monkey?

  441. Paula says:

Maybe she’ll announce her sitting duck award and thank all those great media folks and stuff and also, not realizing that it’s a joke.

  442. mae lewis says:

Here’s something to read while you are waiting out the last half hour. Jonah Goldberg, National Review Online, is right wing, and he criticizes Sarah for always whining to the press and playing the victim. Surprise!

  443. Ripley in CT says:

damn rain… is this something that’s going to be broadcast live somewhere? Or should we just hang out here and wait for AKM’s synopsis?

  444. gdwyer says:

She’s pregnant and due on “LABOR” day! LOL

  445. Elizabeth says:

My first reaction: is she charging per diem for acting as governor from home? Oh, I’m bad!

  446. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

That four hour difference was from sunny Florida… I should have been more clear on that! Begging pardon!

Is this going to carried live by any news outlet up there? Radio? FauxNoise?

Half an hour left to speculate… Vegas has her at 5-2 for mundane…

  447. Paula says:

Sarah strolls in an hour late and says Happy 4th of July.
    ********
Oh, barf, with a flag pin and lots of grandstanding about her visit with the troops and America and this and though and also though and gotcha and winks. Yeah, that’s probably it. I have 30 minutes to vomit.

  448. PatD says:

Maybe the Mark Sanford stuff is contagious and the GINOsaurus will be fessing up to stuff ! Although since she is starting her announcement at 11 am, there may not be enough time to get it all off of her chest by dinner.

If she is going to announce she is not running for re-election,
    —————-
Or announce herself Queen and Todd King?

  450. ds55 says:

    Best case scenario: Sarah resigns.
Worst case scenario: Sarah strolls in an hour late and says Happy 4th of July.

  451. Paula says:

Posing for the center of ‘Guns and Ammo’ at Eddie Burkes request?

wrapped in a flag with Rev Moonycakes?

  452. crystalwolf aka caligrl says:

If she is going to announce she is not running for re-election, she is going to announce she is running for prez. If so…I hope, whomever has “Thor’s Hammer” will take her out ASAP.

  453. Angela says:

Oh boy, I wonder what’s up now! More grandstanding I bet.

  454. AlaskaDisasta says:

I took a peek at her teleprompter and it said “I am a narcissistic dimwit, interested only in being a salivating publicity-hound”

  455. Paula says:

Or maybe she’ll be sharing her glee about the drop in oil prices. Wouldn’t want you Alaskan having any oil money now would we??? Bad for the buget the Queen sayeth.

Oil prices tumbled to their lowest level in a month Thursday following the release of woeful job numbers in Europe and the U.S.
Benchmark crude for August delivery fell $2.58, nearly 4%, to settle at $66.73 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Crude hit an eight-month high in midday trading Tuesday, but prices have fallen at the close for five straight days now.

  456. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

    Could it be…

She’s filing a slander suit against Vanity Fair?
She found the rest of the clothes from the RNC shopping spree?
She realizes 2012 is out so she’s announcing early to run for reelction?
She made enough in donations from the faithful to pay her legal fees?
The twit lost her Blackberry and that’s why no tweets for a while?
Free fireworks tomorrow night at her home thanks to Arctic Cat?
    Another non-denial denial?
Posing for the center of ‘Guns and Ammo’ at Eddie Burkes request?
An apology for being just such a dumb arse in general?

The list could go on seemingly forever, also, to.

    Just sayin’ !!

  457. What is the emotion that combines excitement, interest and dread? I envision Peeps everywhere sitting before their computer screens in anxious anticipation. If I was dressed I would go find a mudpuppy so we could hold hands and drink chamomile tea while we wait. But, yes – Today I am still in my PJs, well – gown actually – late sleeping for the holiday……… 26 minutes to go – now where is my tea?

  458. jc in co says:

ok, I have alot to do, but I can’t stand not to know. Just the way she wants it,
it will probably be something stupid…

  459. Paula says:

Thanks AKM, tick, tick, tick… 40 minutes to go!

  461. akmuckraker says:

  462. Paula says:

So, If it’s 2:18 eastern, that be at 3:00 my time, right?

Wow, a 4th of July gift, what fun!

  463. Ripley in CT says:

heh heh…. it is going to be a whine about the VF article, interspersed with some more whining about Emmonak, with a sprinkling of whining about the bloggers.

Don’t expect anything profound or helpful. Only something that will make her look “good”.

I will check back later… it stopped raining for a bit… need to get outside.

  464. bubbles says:

    oh GOD. what now?

  465. BahstinBoyo aka Wrangler Tractor Palin says:

Four hour time difference… for Saracuda, an alternate universe difference!!

About 45 minutes left to P-hour.

Okay, THAT could be taken TOO many ways!

  466. Erin says:

    It’s 10:14 am right now.

  467. jc in co says:

It’s 12:11 MDST, what time is it in AK? Ithought they were only an hour behind??
