Ms Pi,I hope this works. I finally found my USB cable to download pics to computer. This should be brian from iowa.

Just read in area shopper that a high pressure bakken crude oil pipeline is to be built through the heart of mikeyland. Lyon Co(very NW co),Sioux Co (right below Lyon), Obrien Co (me,right next door to the east of Sioux Co) and Cherokee Co(straight S of Obrien Co). The pipeline will be built to Illinois refineries. Farmers will be unhappy. NW iowa land averages $10,960/acre and that is down 4%(2013 average). I suppose Like keystone XL,they will get eminent domain and take the land they want for their pipeline.

From the schematics I have seen, mikey, it looks like the pipeline is going right through your parlor.

When they evict you, take a tea towel with you. All emergencies are better if you have a tea towel.

I found this to be very interesting and completely contrary to what I was expecting,Ms Pi.

    Color me blown totally away.

This is very interesting indeed. Need to go read it again and look around some more.
This dovetails with various on-the-street ( cept there aren’t any streets ) takes from rural places here which the F & G powers-that-be have pretty much ignored.

Apologies to Les Gara. I did not know until today he was involved in wrangling pro-oil weasels around.

    Tiny little mustelids
Take big awl monies to do big awl’s bids
and steal the future from Alaska’s kids
    while wingnuts run amuck

give us more and more big awl cries
else ways your pipelines they run dry
and cost you more to make us try
    while wingnuts drive the truck

    You voters control your desti-knee
to the groin of big awl companies
your awl belongs to all of you
now go vote and do what you have to do
tell wingnuts and big awl to get lost.-What? You were expecting another rhyme? Shame on you. 🙂

Would be nice to know what the best Bill in Juneau had to say about the worst bill in Juneau like my exalted friend Krubozumo Nyankoye asked a few days ago. Senator Bill-if you have the time we’d love to hear your impressions about Parnell’s oil tax revenue give away.

Run a combine through the windmill patch and next year you’d have all kinds of volunteer windmills springing up and all would be Round-Up resistant,GMO,windmills.

      Wind- ok, sounds pretty good.
UCG- sounds terrible. Rilly terrible. Rilly, rilly terrible.

      I needed that laugh. Thanks!

Hope to have wind turbine pics to share soon. Mayhaps not before next year. They are pouring cement and installing roads and plowing cable along roads. They even spray some chemical along gravel in front of houses to hold down dust. Already can see the NW end of a string of 300 plus turbines and soon will have 200 plus in my neighborhood. Be a shame if they suck up all the moisture so crops don’t grow. 🙂

Is that picture of windmills on Fire Island?
