July 4th Parade Photos – Anchorage (Part 2)

Even with the damp weather the crowds were out in force – many in some really cool costumes/uniforms – the 5 men in period uniforms were nice enough to pose for me out on the park strip.
My favorite is the woman dressed as the Statue of Liberty, with “I Miss America” on her sash and yellow mudboots on her feet, marching in front of the “Move to Amend” banner. Great shots!
Apparently, in 1776, four out of five middle-aged men wore glasses.
Where does one find epaulettes these days? We have a large variety of shopping venues here in LA, but I have never seen a single epaulette (much less a complete pair).
The star-spangled Shih Tzu, however, is pretty cute. My mom would dress her pair like that.
