Palin Outraged Clinton Pulled a Palin

Sarah Palin, whom shame and decency dictate should be hiding out somewhere in the back of a dark deep cave with a bag over her head this week, is instead standing on the tippy top of Mt. Hypocrisy with a giant bullhorn yelling, “Look at me!” Should any of us be surprised? No. Was I still a little surprised? A little. Apparently the thought of raking Hillary Clinton (whom Palin thanked in 2008 for putting “16 million cracks in the glass ceiling”) over the political coals was just too tempting, just too enticing to put in check her own conscience, or…

After Three Years, the State Requests Another Extension for the Palin Email Release

~The Alaska Department of Law hard at work on the Palin emails Remember when our former governor was nominated to be the VP candidate? And we were all like, “What? Really? You’ve got to be kidding me!”  I know. It seems like a lifetime ago. Back then, in days of yore, people in the Lower 48 didn’t even know how to pronounce her name. “Is it Pallin?” they asked. “Who is this woman? We know nothing about her!” And so journalists started doing what journalists are paid to do. They investigated, and they asked (utilizing public records requests) to see…

Jeanne Devon on The Ron & Don Show on KIRO in Seattle

More audio at MyNorthwest.com Check out Jeanne’s interview on The Ron & Don Show on KIRO in Seattle. She talks about Blind Allegiance, and the Palin email dump. Her segment goes from 1:30 to 17:00.

New Emails Reveal Palin Lied When She Denied Online Poll Fixing

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy During Sarah Palin’s brief tenure as governor, staff spent a great deal of time repeatedly voting in online polls. They even used special software that would vote over and over in these non-scientific opinion polls from local TV stations like KTUU in Anchorage. For Palin, it was all about the image. If her policies looked popular, then in her world, they were. If she looked like a success, she was. Her all-consuming obsession with her own media presence was undeniable in the emails I read while researching the…

Happy Dump Day! The Palin Emails are Released… Sort of.

~Fox News’ copies of Palin’s emails, Juneau, AK.  Photo by ‘Mudflatter D.’ By Jeanne Devon Well, the day we’ve been waiting for has arrived. It only took (looks at watch) two years and change. I refer of course to the emails to and from Sarah Palin that were requested by individuals and news organizations to give them some insight into who this virtually unknown vice presidential candidate was – that which is known today as “The Palin Email Dump.” Well, with all the information now out there, I’m retroactively confident in my choice not to have voted for her. Phew….

Mudflats Chats – Frank Bailey

~Sarah Palin and Frank Bailey By Jeanne Devon I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with ex-Palin aide Frank Bailey about his memoir Blind Allegiance (co-authored by myself and Ken Morris).  Frank Bailey is one of those people I never imagined I’d ever meet, nevermind work with. I once called him “the second most notorious Frank in Alaska politics” with our former Governor Frank Murkowski holding that dubious number one spot. After Bailey ended up in the center of the Troopergate scandal, I, like many Alaskans was pretty miffed. After our mutual co-author Ken Morris who was already…

The Least of Sarah Palin’s Problems

By Ken Morris (Co-author with Frank Bailey and Jeanne Devon of Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin “My problem is I do have the fire in my belly…” ~Sarah Palin discussing a run for U.S. President with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, May 19, 2011 Where to begin? After about 18 months of living in the rabbit hole of Sarah Palin’s head while co-authoring Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin—insider Frank Bailey’s factual account of being side-by-side with the candidate, then half-term governor and failed vice presidential candidate—I listened to the above quoted interview in dismay. It wasn’t because of the…

Frank Bailey’s Memoir Leaked to Press (and a surprise)

As many of you are now discovering, there’s been a reason I haven’t been as prolific on the blog as usual over these past months. There’s not a lot I can tell you now, but I’ve been collaborating with former Sarah Palin aide Frank Bailey, and former Wall Street Exec and award-winning novelist Ken Morris on a little project. You’ll all remember Ken Morris as the one who was offering to donate $200,000 to a veterans charity if Sarah Palin would have dinner with himself, me, Shannyn Moore, Rachel Maddow and a couple other progressives to talk about issues. As…

The Accidental Secessionist – An Alaskan Fable.

And the leaks continue.  CBS has released a series of emails between Palin and McCain staffers that happened during the campaign.  The date?  Joe the Plumber minus three hours.  On October 15, Palin saw a CNN story with a subtitle “The Palins and the Fringe” that detailed her connections with the Alaskan Independence Party, a statewide political party that advocates for Alaskans to take a vote about whether they want to secede from the union.  Todd Palin had been a member of the party from 1995 – 2002.  The Governor herself had delivered opening remarks via videotape to their convention…

The $65,000 Question is On Sale! Want Some?

That’s right, the Palin’s $64,000 has been price slashed! Remember a few weeks ago when government watchdog Linda Kellen Biegel sent a records request to the state?  She asked for copies of emails sent between members of the administration and right-wing radio shock jock Eddie Burke, and Anchorage Daily News gossip columnist Sheila Toomey, including emails which target Alaska resident and vocal critic of the governor, Andree McLeod. The reason for the request stems from Palin’s Chief of Staff Mike Nizich who, in an official state press release, stated: “I hope that the publicity-seekers will face a backlash from Alaskans…
