Parnell, Miller Fear Children… From Central America

Alaskan Governor Sean Parnell and US Senate Candidate Joe Miller are worried.

Is it about the melting ice caps? No. Is it about the sexual assaults in the Alaska National Guard? No. (Clearly Sean’s not worried about that.) Is it about the Pebble Mine? Hell No.

It’s about the children, but not just any children. ILLEGAL children coming to Alaska.

Here’s a photo example of one of them.

The ‘Threat’ She actually flew to New York City, but you get my drift.

Parnell’s social media team posted this to his official page Saturday.

Screen Shot 2014-08-03 at 2.11.48 AM“I have seen some alarming reports that the Obama administration is giving illegal aliens one-way tickets to Alaska. We are making contact with the Department of Homeland Security to get to the bottom of this. http://goo.gl/xsGCQ9

The link above, by the way connects to the always reputable (read: never) website Breitbart.com. I don’t recommend clicking the link if you’re on your cell phone as there is a auto-play video… also the story will want make you want to throw your phone against the wall.

The Breitbart.com story reports that: “HHS confirmed to Breitbart Texas that as of July 7, five unaccompanied minors were released in Alaska. “Between January 1 and July 7, 2014, a total of five minors were discharged from the Unaccompanied Alien Children program to sponsors in Alaska,” the spokesman said.”

Yes, a total of 5 kids. That’s two fewer than Joe Miller has. I think Alaska can handle it.

The disconcerting thing is that The Mudflats knew about this weeks ago, yet somehow the Governor had no idea that HHS was sending kids to his state. At the McAllen, Texas Catholic Charities Center, this reporter saw a map showing where all the kids have been sent – either to a family, or to sponsors. The map has likely been in countless news reports, including the one that I was filming with Marcus DiPaola of CNC.

The Backstory: It’s Not Obama’s Fault

TentsforTHEM

Inflatable tents that refugees sleep in before being sent to family or sponsors. – McAllen, Texas

It should be noted, that the reason why the refugees are not immediately sent back has nothing to do with Obama (who has no love for undocumented immigrants). It actually goes back to Dubya. George Bush in 2008 signed the “William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. The bill was “co-sponsored by Republicans Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida and Chris Smith of New Jersey,” and by several Democrats, according to Huffington Post. John A. Tures of HuffPo goes on to explain: “Named for the famed English politician who eventually led Great Britain to ban slavery, the law is meant to combat human trafficking. The kids who are trying to enter America are supposed to be detained, and get a fair hearing, to ensure that they aren’t victims of human trafficking, a modern-day slavery. The bill covers children from three Latin American countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Look how stern he is! What's the remedy for swooning!?!

Look how stern he is! What’s the remedy for swooning!?!

Obama is just following the lead of his Republican predecessor. But that’s not enough for Joe Miller who took to social media to say, “Obama is now flying illegal aliens to Alaska! He must be impeached! It is estimated that illegals cost America over $116 billion every year. And that doesn’t include costs from the 290,000 illegals that Obama is now transporting around the country. Another lawless act by a lawless president. Demand that Congress end the madness NOW!

He even made up this cute little bearded meme. “Impeachment is the only remedy!” Never mind that it’s not illegal, and definitely NOT an impeachable offense.

Oh, Joe. Where were you in 2006 when when I was screaming about GW?

Governor Parnell, who seems to not have anything else on his plate other than worrying about some brown kids flying from Texas to Alaska is bent on investigating.

Screen Shot 2014-08-03 at 4.13.25 AMHe also took to twitter “I have seen some reports that the feds are giving illegal aliens 1-way tickets to AK. We’re making contact w/ DHS to get to the bottom of it.”

I’m just not sure what these white guys are worried about. This is not some brown tide, it’s a couple of kids who probably have no interest in being moved to the coldest state in the country. One would think that two men that fight for the lives of a fetus might have some compassion for those who are already born. But I guess that the fetus they’re protecting needs to have a US Passport and be eligible for a dividend check.

Alaska Responds, and Do They!

Alaskans are awesome. Have I said that lately? Moments like this prove it. Most of Joe Miller’s pages are filled with very Christian words like:

Execute him

Or saying that Progressives hate families.

Progressives

Or just the always awesome NOT RACIST AT ALL rant.

not racist

Governor Sean Parnell’s page, while considerably less active is a lot more heartening.

I made about 30 screen shots of awesome comments on the Governors insanity. But why don’t you just go over there and leave a comment for him, along with a link to this article. https://www.facebook.com/Alaska.Governor

The comment I’m really waiting for though is from the lone Representative to the State of Alaska… good ole Don “My father used to own a ranch. We used to hire 50 to 60 wetbacks to pick tomatoes, you know. It takes two people to pick the same tomatoes now. It’s all done by machine…” Young.

@repdonyoung Would love to hear what you have to say on this Congressman. http://t.co/2FoBABranv

  1. I am continually amazed at the shear bigotry that passes for conservative politics these days.

  2. Carol says:

Joe Miller is foul, vile. Don’t know him personally, but someone who does has absolutely NO good things to say about him. I base my opinion on what I’ve read about him over the years. In the past (and probably in the future) he’s made blatantly lying statements and some swallowed the poison (wasn’t even hidden in Kool-Aid). Why did Parnell decide to blow his mouth without doing any investigation?

  3. mike from iowa says:

From America’s heartland(where we don’t believe anything from Breitbart-he’s dead) the state of South Dakota has totally collapsed under the influx of 21 children from Central America countries. You’d think the filthy little liars(as Louie Gohmert refers to them) would be grateful to be alive what with all the neat stuff Raygun,North and Casey at CIA did to their countries back in the day. Of course if they were fetuses that were on their own, wingnuts would love them to death until they were born, which doesn’t make sense, but we are talking the idiotesters of the idiots. Wingnuts all know these kids have full vote for Democrat rights from the minute they get here and some will undoubtedly take political jobs meant only for rich white rill ‘murricans.

  4. Zyxomma says:

Just what I’d expect, fear and loathing.
