Open Thread – Ankh if You Love Isis
Thanks to Mudflatter G_Katz for sending in these great pictures of a vehicle (at least we think it’s a vehicle under all those stickers) spotted in a local shopping mall. Do you have bumperstickers? Share your slogans in the comments. The only sticker on my car, is the classic No Pebble Mine sticker that can be seen on Alaska cars and trucks whose owners run the political spectrum.

Open Thread – Red Sky
I know this isn’t the first sunrise picture I’ve posted recently, and fair warning – it won’t be the last. It’s hard, when it’s been dark for so long, not to be excited to sit over morning coffee and watch the show. It’s free entertainment at its best with a free shot of Vitamin D. Open Thread – Moore Up North

There was lively debate and great conversation. Shannyn also interviewed the indomitable Jeff Mittman from the Alaska ACLU. Don’t miss it! Jeff Mittman is the Executive Director of the ACLU in Alaska which just celebrated 40 years in The…

Open Thread – Tipsy Sunset
I love where I live. Every day, I get to drive past this view, and it’s never the same twice. It’s like looking at a huge ever-changing watercolor painting every day. No matter how grey or gloomy or foggy it gets, it’s still amazing. The combination of clouds, sun, sky, ice, and mud are infinite. This afternoon I snapped this crooked shot just before the sun came down under that thick black cloud layer. The Inlet is full of ice which gives the whole picture an added dimension. One of these days, I’ll grab my tripod and drive down all…
