To nearly no ones surprise Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell has announced that he has filed the necessary paperwork to run for the US Senate in the 2014 Republican Primary. So now we’ve got Joe Miller and Mead Treadwell running to unseat incumbent Mark Begich. Should be an interesting election season. Question is, if Mead loses, will he bow out with grace or run an ugly independent run like a certain other Senator. On Thursday, Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan filed a letter of intent to run for statewide office. He did not report the office for which he will be running on his APOC form, but the rumor mill has ben churning on this one, and all indications are he’ll be running for Lt.
